Bumping this thread from the dead just to give this album some cred. Most technical thing he's ever done and it gets no appreciation. It's not go plastic or anything, but it's really fucking good. Super solid album.

i've been listening to oversteps while i sleep. it's nice to fall asleep to and when i wake up and hear it i feel like i have a better understanding of it. i think it's some subliminal thing , that i'm hearing it and figuring it out while i sleep.

if you really have only listened to Satie and Part and know virtually nothing else, I recommend you to quickly listen to the old classics

some tunes can give me the cringe because of overusage in commercials and popular media, but Summer and Winter .... damn
also check out Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite... some great tunes there that you've probably once heard before

I think the sounds are sort of the same. I know the 626 has separate outs, I wish I knew that before I bought my 505. The 505 has stereo out, but I have no clue how to assign the instruments to one of the channels.
yeah the 505 has only one set of outs...

Finicky? You sure it wasn't because you did have the output mix selected right or something? I have never a had a single issue with mine and I use it almost everyday jamming with people using almost every knob on it.
what do you mean by output mix?
one thing that tricked me was the phones/ control room button. i turned mine to max and then moved faders accordingly and voila.
i do notice a bit of static while i'm playing my records though, i have them hooked up to line in 7/8 , debunk?
