I almost forgot, I watched The Great Gatsby not long ago and really liked it. (did I post about it?, can't rmember)

 

A lot of people were slagging it off for using hip-hop music, although I thought it jarred (a little not a lot) this didn't ruin the film for me.

 

I thought it was beautifully shot and the performances were vivid (if a little overdone). Some of it was slightly over directed (literally "reaching"?)

 

On the whole I felt it really brought the book to life (I read it ages ago but had forgotten most of it). 8/10

 

PS Leo's acting made me forget for a short while that he is a bit of a potatoface (new potato).

I took my bike to Evans for a service and they told me to expect a call today with an estimate.

 

When they didn't call I called in to the branch I went into, they said they would call back...

 

...and didn't. Now I have no idea what's going on and if the repair is worth the money.

I think I liked it! The acting was incredible. There was something really addictive about the film, even though it doesn't flow like your average movie.

 

That's a seriously amazing film. Paul Thomas Anderson is a genius.
