3/5
Wasn't great acting - but I love botanical horror films.

A few more...
^ Alice falling down the rabbit hole.

Thanks, they are literally made from trash found on the streets and then I composed them and photographed them.

A few years old but the most recent I have since my external hard drive died.
^ Not photoshopped, just a misty mirror!

Exorcist III is rrrrrrockin, entirely due to Brad Dourif & GCS,,,,,, the bits in the psych-ward, the walking sheet creature, the mentalist nurse with the big scissors , Brad wrathing @ GCS about the "cold dark places"...... a forgotten gem imho
exorcist 3-not a patch on the 1st one,bit tv movie-ish,but still has a sinister vibe, also george.c.scott and brad dourif are great in this7/10
I would highly recommend this film by the same director/writer http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081237/combined
It's amazing, and considered part 2 of a trilogy.
Exorcist 3 was originally called Legion and had no exorcisms in the book or original screenplay.

Society is not shit until the last 10 minutes, it's very funny, one of the best satires of 1980's culture.
It Follows is great, apart from the soundtrack which is a bit over the top compared to the film.
-
People seem to really love it or totally hate on it.
I lean more towards loving it, I wasn't expecting too, it works as an album, hearing one or two songs before the album I wasn't too impressed.

Society: Collector's Edition Blu-Ray/DVD Combo
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00TRUJ7KS/panandscathed-20#
The import cover takes the cake
I fucking love that movie!
It Follows - 8/10
I love atmospheric horror films, this one was very effective.

Chappie was awful!
Worst movie I've seen this year, acting was on Troma levels, and the script was very stupid. -
Chappie. 5/10
Ruined by awful acting and really stupid characters.

rewatched Ken Russell's The Devils (1971), due to sweet restored version finally arriving in the post. Has to be my favourite British film. Its intensity and scale is unadulterated genius. You have this myriad of elements that unfold in a deliciously wicked crimson tide; the slow dissolving madness of V Redgrave's suppressed desires, the French court's complete moral corruption & Oliver Reed completely OWNING T'INGS. Derek Jarman did all the sets + the cast is packed with familiar character actor faces from that whole era.
If you've been forced to watch as many low resolution flicks on a laptop alongside damp watery excavation trenches as i have, these restored prints on a decent home-screen (granted not like watching Blade Runner in t'cinema) are heaven-sent.
Infinity/10
I love The Devils, my favorite actress is Georgina Hale (so I LOVE Mahler....) Wish more would be restored for Blu-ray.
I bought Ken Russell at the BBC DVD box set and some of his TV films are amazing and even better than many of his feature films.

Another question......sorry.
Can anyone tell me the difference between these two releases?
http://www.discogs.com/Variant-Dreaming-Thru-Vector/release/6136080
http://www.discogs.com/Variant-Dreaming-Thru-Vector-Reprise/release/6976228
They seem almost identical except the lengh of the songs are *slightly* different.

Further proof that remastering is not always for the best. Of the Variant releases, the remastered FallingStars that came out a few years ago was actually an improvement, though.
I just bought Dreaming thru Vector and Auratia on cd.
cv313 usually are my favorite releases from the label.
"As Time Stood Still" from the remastered The Setting Sun is like shrill tinnitus with beats.
-
Thanks, I'll check them out.
I agree about The Setting Sun remaster, the new version is so loud I have the volume of my stereo turned down compared to other albums from Echospace.
-
Any recomedations on what Echospace albums have been the best in the last 6-12 months?
-
Got The Setiing Sun Remastered.
I don't know, I think it is my least favorite release from them so far, the remastering is too much, especially the first track, the high pitched sample is so shrill now that it hurts.
-
It seems like it is basically a Fehlmann album, so it could be really good!
-
Fargo, better than the movie.
Bates Motel.
-
The Servant (1963)
8/10
-
I don't care about the politics of the bands or their egotistical memories.
As long as the music is good....although I tend to like their albums where Youth and Fehlmann are involved.
This comp. is totally uneeded though, just buy the first few albums and Okie Dokie It's The Orb On Kompakt. (the album before and after Okie Dokie are awful!!!)
