I need to vent about an uprising cheap looking and corny trend I'm noticing:
Whats with live footage and video games these days? With actors and shit.
I noticed Fallout 4 used live footage in the intros and endings. I don't know if any other games started doing it, nothing comes to mind atm.
Whats up with that? Is it cheaper? Or is it more expensive and they just do it becuase they can? It certainly looks cheap...
I hope no footage of that trailer makes it into the game, like the intro or something. Would fucking hate that. It just doesn't fit, knocks me right out of a game.

I've just spent the whole day playing Stellaris, the new grand strategy game by Paradox. It's basically a sci-fi Europa Universalis/Crusader Kings, although less "hardcore", involving space exploration, combat, scientific researches and galactic empires, etc. There are a couple of preset races to play but the most fun is had when you create your own using skins and traits from a quite extensive and cohesive list. I've gone full Dark Souls fanboy playing as Irithyll, a divine mandate ruled by Pontiff Sulyvahn and his slavers overseeing a growing empire of planets named after locations from the Souls games. I'm having a blast !

beat dark souls 3 :^)
good game. arguably the best and most refined as far as overall quality and gameplay goes (altho 1 is probably still my favourite just because i love the world so much. this was a nice follow up, to wrap it all up).
happy to have beaten it. dark souls is over!!! ( until ... the dlc comes out

I should be in Berlin right now, visiting a long time friend I haven't seen in a while who lives there. Right now we should have been together at Berghain for the Raster Noton night with Alva Noto, Grischa Lichtenberger, Emptyset, Kangding Ray, etc... This was going to be such an awesome weekend.
But somehow the flight I had to take got cancelled because "a member of the flight crew got sick". I spent hours at the airport waiting for details and confirmation that I couldn't get in another plane because they were smaller than the one i was meant to take, which means fewer seats available, and mine wasn't in them. Also, there are no proper refunds with EasyJet.
Basically, I lost a couple hundred euros and what could have been one of the best week ends ever because some fucker from the flight crew got diarrhea. I'm devastated, and so is his anus I hope.

The Last Panthers - 1st episode I guess. It aired last night on Sundance. Seemed alright, had some quality to it. I think this show has aired overseas already. Anyone across the pond have any thoughts as to continue watching this show? as in, worth the time that is...
How is Last Panthers, has anyone watched it? Legends looks interesting too.
Yes it's pretty good, very gloomy and grim I thought. The scoring by Clark adds a lot to it. The acting isn't that great though, especially on the French side...
