  1. We’ve never backed a Democrat for president. But Trump must be defeated.

    Quote

When we founded the Lincoln Project, we did so with a clear mission: to defeat President Trump in November. Publicly supporting a Democratic nominee for president is a first for all of us. We are in extraordinary times, and we have chosen to put country over party — and former vice president Joe Biden is the candidate who we believe will do the same.

  2. The Catcher in the Rye. I wanted to read it after watching a bio-pic about J.D.Salinger, and I wanted to see if I could power through it without falling asleep. Seems I can only read the newspaper without dozing off.

Trump used the pseudonym "John Barron" (sometimes "John Baron") throughout the 1980s, with its earliest known usage in 1980 and its last acknowledgment in 1990. According to The Washington Post, the name was a "go-to alias when [Trump] was under scrutiny, in need of a tough front man or otherwise wanting to convey a message without attaching his own name to it."Barron would be introduced as a spokesperson for Trump.

donnie quietly slipped in an executive order today that essentially gives the US the green light to start digging up the moon, or doing whatever else they want that will probably result in its eventual destruction. is there anything he does that isn't on super-villain level?

lol at "commercial development" of space. I'm envisioning trump branded moon rocks, tacky moon casinos, and of course - mickey d's big macs on the moon.

This article, which retraces the failures over the first 70 days of the coronavirus crisis, is based on 47 interviews with administration officials, public health experts, intelligence officers and others involved in fighting the pandemic. Many spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive information and decisions.
