Breakcore is just a trend that really came and died out fast.

The really most amazing artist that only released some few albums was Xanopticon

Just got my face melted off by Xanopticon in the pacific northwest. He's still making music, and his live sets remain blistering and delightful. He just doesn't ever release anything.

  2. The last ten minutes of part 2 provide such a beautiful and fitting finale to this experience. What a pleasure listening live, these remain just as magical on the replay. Wondering if anyone has made a tracklisting of everything able to be ID'd. I see the .cue sheet and am not sure how to extract the information I seek, though I suspect it is there.

He has been working on it for a year. Since this is the appreciation thread, I thought maybe a few of us would like to show him some support before early access opens at the end of the month.  :) :)

i like how the broadcst just keeps looping, so you can tune in whenever.

at the same time, i don't want to listen too much because i am pretty sure these will be getting an official release at the end of the month, and i don't want to get burned out before i hear dem lossless frequencies.

^ psychiatrists diagnose and medicate, psychologists have more of an ongoing conversation with you to tease out problems and better resolve longstanding hardwired emotional issyues. the emphasis in Australia is much more on psychologists.

my aunt is a psychiatrist specialized on psychoanalysis based on C.G. Jung (super weird stuff btw) that means a lot of talking.  I visited here yesterday cause i had an emergency  anxiety problem and she asked me if i can recall something negative from before i was 1 year old and i was like what is this shit but  then she made a statement which felt like a sword being pushed threw me and i went total calm and that whole conversation took about 15 min. My current therapist cant do shit like that lol

Kattin did you ever went to a support group or group based session cause the group practice i´m visiting offers that and i´m not sure to go, any experience ?

Just realized I never responded to this. The group sessions I was privy to in the past were a part of that unethical setup I was in, so I'm not the best to comment on the worthiness of that type of setting... nevertheless, I know some people find it worthwhile to share experiences in a group and work through social issues they are experiencing in a safe setting. Some people definitely monopolize group time if it's not led by someone skilled in group dynamics. I think it really depends on the issues you are dealing with, the culture of the group, and what you hope to get out of that kind of situation?

I recently found a new therapist (one on one) and am very happy with her so far. The most important thing is to find someone you are ready to open up to about the ugly truths of yourself, and I'm relieved to have that setting to begin with. Of course, there is a lot of uncomfortable work that lies ahead, but I feel good about this partnership.  :boc:

  6. Young bucks really owe it to themselves to at least make it to your mid to late 30s. Anecdotally, I've found it to be true but more importantly, there's good empirical evidence that most mental illnesses mellow out over time. It's tough to say whether that's a neurological thing or a strengthening of your coping skills (maybe one in the same) but either way, come enjoy the mastery over your inner life that can* come from middle age.

*fully concede that this might not happen for everybody. If you make it to the waystation of your 40s and this isn't true...well let's just say I'm a fierce advocate of personal choice in the realm of health. Everyone needs to be free to make their own decisions.

xxx you are a gentleman and a scholar.

  7. no problem.

I think you've inadvertently touched on something that could derail any future endeavours to seek help through therapy, which is that you might be defensive and/or combative about taking advice and having your conceptions challenged. again, this is something that tripped me up initially as well. a psych can't change your mind for you, and while you might be able through a lengthy and arduous series of repeat conversations to slowly soften and accept alternate ideas or worldviews, it works much better if you accept beforehand that the onus is on you to prepare yourself to change your mindset now.

of course, that's the point of spending time and money on therapy. i definitely think there are some practitioners that offer a better fit for certain individuals than others though. different exercises/methods for different brains. it's nice to find someone well versed in a nice range so he/she/they can best offer the help you need, though it's not always the first one you try.
