Dude, the new Mario is fookin shweet

    yes!

haven’t had actual good times playing video games in a long time but this Mario does it. Fun around literally every corner.

I also love that this game doesn’t pull you into some kind of collect-craving, at least it doesn’t do that with me... after an hour or so I feel like putting it down, and picking it up again is just enjoyable. Love it!

Agreed, I don't have time to play really involved, convoluted games anymore. Mario is great to just pop on for a little while and have mindless fun, and the controls are super tight

Sometimes I'm having trouble doing precise jumps, like on the tops of trees.  I guess I'm used to the old Mario 64 camera system, but as you pan the right stick down, the camera somewhat zooms in, correct?

I think if you pan around to look in front of mario then it automatically zooms in. I haven't had a problem with the camera yet, although I don't use motion controls at all so I might not be trying the harder jumps you are talking about?

  3. a local artist gallery put on a screening of The Love Witch recently which was really good. funny as hell.

Totally, that movie is such a great homage

Just finished We Need To Talk About Kevin, and that shit was real good. Never gonna watch it again.

  4. Diogenes of Sinope, the Publicly-Defecating Philosopher
Described by Plato as “a Socrates gone mad”, Diogenes of Sinope is considered one of the most controversial figures in the history of philosophy.

  5. It's really sweet, having your HD games wherever you go. If they can just improve online, and figure out their retro games model, it will be a classic console. Again the person next to me on my flight this weekend had a Switch, it's really cool bonding with strangers over gaming. A little Mario Kart and Splatoon 2 multiplayer made the time fly by. Plus a few vodkas.

Just bought one with paypal credit (what is wrong with me) and my local game store had Mario in early. sheeeit

  6. Heaven Knows What

This was really good. Isao Tomita music all over the place, gritty and realistic acting, nice cinematography, and fucking Necro of all people has a strong supporting role!?

It's on Netflix right now, highly recommended.

*oh shit, also just realized that this was directed by the guys that did Good Time

  7. I really enjoyed that new baumbach film on netflix with hoffman and stiller and sandler. Hard not to like a film that can make you care about terrible people. Pretty funny. Might have to be middle aged i guess. Which i am. Plus Hoffman was pretty great.

It was alright but I felt like it should've ended like 4 times before it did

  8. I was actually impressed by the first episode of Mindhunter. Yeah, some of the dialogue smells, but the subject matter is interesting imo. Has anyone seen enough of it to know if it turns into a chase/thriller thing? If that's the case I'll probly give it a pass. If it keeps up with the psychology angle I'm game

  9. Well, fuck XCOM 2: WotC. I can't count how many times I've had to restart missions now. It's been rampant frustration from the get-go. Probably time to uninstall.

Besides, I've already beaten the base game.

I've found that, as with the base game, once you reach a certain point your squad is way overpowered (esp when you train up a psy op). Have you defeated all of the chosen yet? Game gets a lot easier when you don't have to worry about them popping up.
