    Why was it necessary to make a topic for this? Yes, Atlanta rap, like most other rap not made for white people (MF Doom, Odd Future, Deltron 3030, Dr. Octagon, etc.) or listened to primarily by white people (Tribe Called Quest, Biz Markie, Beastie Boys, Sugar Hill Gang, etc.) can be vapid and pop-ish. You don't have to love it, and you don't have to endorse what it stands for, but it's not necessary to whine about it. No one will ever force you to listen to it, no matter what you might think.

    Tribe Called Quest, Beasties and Sugar Hill Gang are quality - what talking about lol? ;p

    I don't mind it but don't listen to it much to be honest. I think the way Mike P and Planet Mu went off dubstep was weird but I guess its a label that seems to represent one man's taste. Still got mad respect for Mike's music particular Jake Slazenger though.

    Nah made it on a Pentium II lol with a Korg 05r/w sound module and a handful of samples. :O

    I've ripped most of phineus ii / Xtra Spicey Mikey's trax off of YouTube so I can listen out and about. They are so so good. Already got all the stuff he's put out on wax. I would happily pay for anything he'd stick on bandcamp but he seems to prefer just putting it on YT. Such a legend

    is Paper Planes by M.I.A a guilty pleasure or is it genuinely "cool." i fucking love that song man. i loved it when it came out but i wasn't very active about it, and then i heard it on the radio last weekend and i was like, man i fucking love that song. so i downloaded it and i listen to it several times a day now. i cant get enough of that song.
