Why people changed their username? (possible stupid question i know, but why everyone now with the new forum)

ive become unpleasantly annoyed with humanity in the last few years. is it an age thing?
Just finished a book by Cioran where he says people become more tolerant going older, and extremism is typical during young age (under 30)
...maybe he was wrong (:

Those first two kick hits over the end of the first ambient track are so beautiful

Was at a friends place last night listening to Bluetooth music through his tv . Everything sounded pretty shit with no bass but collapse even sounded good on that set up . It's crazy how good and clear and full it sounds even on shitty speakers
Yeah that's right!!

Is it me or Pthex is getting darker over time?

My top 3 English podcasts at the moment:
1) Bang&Olufsen's "Sound Matters"
2) Gimlet Media's "Heavyweights"
3) Johnatan Zenti's "Meat" (Episode 1 "host's fat" is a masterpiece"
Bonus:
"The Heart"

Seems legit!

Its the space that the track has... it breaths ..... its very organic
So true, and I'd extend this to most of Elseq's tracks! in my opinion sometimes NTS tracks lack in this aspect... As do for examples Richard Devine's tracks on his latest 2018 album: in some way everything is colder comparing to Elseq/Exai
-
Yo! That's the Ceephax I want
Total ravey acid
-
Great track, but if I had to pick my least favourite off elseq1, it might be this one. The other 4 are just more special to me.
Maybe it's not my fav track off Elseq1 too
Curvcaten could be my n.1

I really love this track. I really love Elseq.
First sounds of the track could be annoying to someone, as the marked snare/SBAM on quite every third quarter, but pendulu hv moda designs very unique scenarios.
All the first half of the track makes me think about some sort of digital-natural imaginary. But from 7.08 everything changes and a evolving being starts growing, always moving, not sure if he has biomechanical features or if he's more abstract... The only sure thing is that from 6.58 starts trying to express itself, and the disappearance of the other main sounds makes me imaginate now a desert-ish landscape. Final drone marks the end of the epiphany.
Technically I wonder how the hell they made the sound whom I related saying the being was trying to express himself...
Overall I prefer Elseq to NTS and the reason is that I feel like in Elseq's tracks less is left to chance, very different from the "jazz-jams" of NTS.
pendulu hv moda rules
PS: also, super cool thing, try mixing some fat fast kicks over sections of the second half of the track!

Supposed to be working on my own stuff but couldn't help thinking about the last minute of Abundance like I mentioned a few weeks ago. The Arturia Drumbrute got plenty of hate but that step repeat strip makes quick work of "instaCollapse" style jams.
Very cool! Are some of those notes microtonal?

:)=/
I don't get it.
Just this: Reddit AMA -> nice way to get an admission from him about this
"Nice attempt to discover the truth" was just a paraphrase for "Nice try"
-
I thought that was understood for awhile now, no?
I mean, he even has remixes of himself on there
He must confess now (joking)
-
Nice try what?i asked Clark about the fake artists on Feast/Beast on his reddit AMA but he didn't reply
Nice try
A few of the artists that made the "original tracks" only have one track, and it's on Feast/Beast. Leads one to believe they were just Clark originals disguised as a remix.
Nice attempt to discover the truth

Nice try

Wow! I was hoping for something more "Ganzfeld" too, but hey this is trippy as fuck! Very happy about this surprise
-
I'm basically in the 1% of people that really liked Iradelphic.
Feast/Beast was great though, and there's the odd track on each new release that I enjoy but overall not the same Clarky boy as before.
ETBOY through to Turning Dragon at least are my fav.
Iradelphic is very personal and eclectic (yesterday evening I played Open after a long time)

There are two kingdoms of the subforum realm atm. One kingdom of Autechre and the other of Aphex Twin.
It is true all the rest are rather quiet (like Camp Clark). Kingdom of BOC just takes one tiny spark and it'll be a guaranteed forest fire both combined Kingdoms of AE and AFX will struggle to keep under control.
Clarks recent material is cool, that last 12" was terrible though. That was one play and never again material tbh imo.
I'll go through those tracks you posted, because some of them I'm not sure I know that well.
Yes that Pig/Honey Bedger was really a bad one. I feel like Warp asked him other two tracks off the last album in order to monetize (?)
Not meaning to be pedantic but I meant the E.C.S.T T.R.A.X
(but the Pig/Honey Badger wasn't that memorable either)
Well I appreciate the "abstract" form of the tracks, but I still want to suspend judgment on something I've not listened more than a few times. Don't like the Piano timbre, but the harpsichord could be a good track to mix over some jungle beat

Some of his best tracks are compilation tracks and remixes. I compiled a sort of Feast/Beast Disc 3 with all the missing tracks in case anyone's interested wink wink
Woah didn't know anything about these ones! Nice discoveries!
(exept for the Storm Trooper track, that was also somewhere here along with his macho moves)

Seems like everyone here do not appreciate Clark's recent output.
Some sort of nostalgic attitude prevails in me too, but hey his musical career is now almost 20 years! A period of time in which his musical production has concerned many musical genres where he has shown interest in explore the expressive possibilities of various instruments, while his more electronic output is always been characterized by the research of a very personal and recognizable timbre of sound.
Yes, Throttle Promoter was great and all the first albums too! I feel like many people is upset for the 4/4 slower techno interest shown in the latest albums... About this, I think it's been very curious listening how his eclectic sensibility touched this style of techno.
I'd like to hear your opinions about the following tracks:
2015
Total rave mode on, I wonder how the kick drop feels like in a proper club soundsystem after those first 2 minutes of waiting/tension.
(shorter edit version in this video)
2014
After many plays gives me still very emotionally, perfect mdma track!2017 - Slap Drones from Death Peak
How can this not be liked? Very original and entertaining track from start to finish
[not on youtube sorry]2013
Brainmelting.. all the remix album is so funny and variegated2015
Very cool jungle track (and funny at mixing it)2017
At first listen I remember I said wtf all this joy is not my thing, then some weeks later I re-listened this on a perfect spring afternoon and really really appreciated its beauty
2014
No need for other words about his ambient/minimalistic side
