I was was listening to 'Eastre' from Elseq this morning and had a moment to myself where I dreamed it was the soundtrack to the funeral for my toaster.

    That...actually sounds right. Good work.

We're now closer to the beginning of NTS S3 than the end will be from the beginning. If time went backwards and also we could hear the future then we'd still be within the sounds and the earth would be nothing. Let us float up into the stars. New galaxian wanderers and saints are we. There are no more secrets, we have discovered gonk matter encircling us all, carefree and casual, astronomically untethered. We know: six of eight, four of seven? SPIRAL: REFLECTED

    Amen,  i mean Gonk !

  2. I saw swans a few months ago and wore earplugs for the first time at a concert. it sounded amazing. I took them off at one point just to see and it was just punishing. They played around 130 db.

i saw them twice last year and i was totally ok with the loudness but the physical aspect was much harder to bear i literally started to sweat and felt uncomfortable.A guy next to me even fainted , he fking fainted.

NTS3 pls make me faint into idm heaven !

I called all the Volkswagon dealerships in Ireland this afternoon

Not one person I spoke with knew about the space between the V and W since 1937

The logo is on the building, pamphlets and every car in the showroom

besides elseq for me its one of their most un-accessible releases, there is so much going on that i wish i had 2 more pairs of ears.

oh and regarding mindblowing electronic music i would definitely say opn (sound design is fking nxt lvl)

While NTS might not be their most accessible release to date, have you ever heard of this little album called Confield?

thats why i´ve said "one" of their most, read more carefully !

  5. when Exai came out, I found it really tough to listen to the whole thing in one go - all the details seemed to blur together and I didn't know how to approach an album with that kind of running time. now, we already have twice the amount of material but it doesn't seem as menacing or inaccessible to me - quite the opposite actually. I've been listening to both sessions every day now in all kinds of scenarios and they seem to go by really fast. In terms of track2track flow, I think the NTS sessions are much better than elseq. Needless to say, I've also fallen in love with Exai since.

still cant get into Exai it lies somewhere in a dark corner while the other records enjoy my sunny living room. sorry Exai

Do you guys think this is just the new way they're going to do things from now on - not much marketing and pre-announcement and instead just drop a bunch of music all of a sudden through a live radio show.  Or is this a sort of side-piece to their properly Warp-marketed releases?  It seems too secret to be the only thing that's going to happen from now on, it's not even listed on bleep.com when normally a new AE release would be on the front page right there

well, this is called 'NTS Sessions' which implies it is some material made / curated special just for the radio show, so i don't think they consider it a new album as such like Exai was. more like some new jams for the tru fans.

i'm sure when they release a new album proper there will be the usual promotion for it.

impossible that would be way too much music like srsly nts is going to be in total 8h long. I wouldn't be surprised if the next album comes out around 2020 also people still havent fully digested elseq. Maybe they have a new deal with warp/bleep who knows and its easier and more personal to sell it threw their own webshop ,Aphex did the same.
