shadow of mordor 10/10 ? what?
superb game, insanely fun to play
-
shadow of mordor 10/10, alien isolation 10/10, saints row the third so far 10/10, might check far cry 4, the scenery looks almost on par with skyrim but the game play doesn't interest me so much, however, co-op does!
has anyone played fc4 co-op, any good?

does anyone else get a aphex twin vibe from radiohead?
Fixed
haha, yes obviously, but something about the beat makes me think of radiohead

does anyone else get a radiohead vibe from minipops?

Probably one of the best Japan-only bonus tracks I've ever heard.
Enjoy.

the vocals in 4 bit 9d api+e+6

its only on the 8th listen that CIRCLONT14 (Shrymoming Mix) hit me, the bit where the vocals (sounds like a small boy) comes in with the guitar sound neighbours must hate me

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT
is it made up of two pasted a2s meaning where the fold is, is where the 2 parts overlap?
-
heard it three times now and it doesn't work for me. not at all. i think the whole thing is a complete mess. to me it sounds like he was fiddleling around without having the slightest idea where to go with these tracks. i like minipops, the metz-thing (is the live version faster? not sure) and the piano piece. 180db is funny and likeable, it sounds silly, playful and completely idiotic. a good joke, not a good track. papat4 starts off great but destroys itself on the way. syro has its short funky moments, but the rest is so random and messy. i really hope this album was the last part of this anal/tussy phase. i love the guy, but... 4/10
Random?
yes, random. i don't get your point
he did say "It just totally makes me want to not do anything else in that particular style." so you're in luck!

drukqs goes deep and twists your soul
don't know yet if syro can do this
only time will tell, we would need a few years with syro to know this

richard on syro:
But I don't think these [syro] tracks are particularly innovative. Maybe in really subtle ways they are, for me, but there's nothing there that I need to explore more, so it's not going to put me off releasing anything. It just totally makes me want to not do anything else in that particular style. -
out of the the tracks that have never been dj'ed Syro u473t8+e (Piezoluminescence Mix) is my favourite so far, part of it get me humming forgot about dre for some reason...

Something is going on man...
Weird, I just refreshed the Bleep homepage and the LP was out of the list, only digital and CD were still up. Now it's back.
I'm not seeing it as being sold out. They were probably choosing between two options: go with the flow and also upload (better) samples (so they were already preparing for the whole explosion), or just hold it up for a bit longer and ask that retailer to remove the samples. Let's not post these samples up anymore, Warp obviously didn't intend on this.
P.S. - Vinyl is sold out on Bleep. That's quite something I'd say!
new aphex lp will be announced, 99% sure

Has anyone drawn the parallels between Richard Linklater's Boyhood and the timing of the Syro release?
Boyhood was shot over a period of 11 years, between May 2002 and October 2013, so the cycle wasn't quite as long as the Aphex album silence, but considering the film only released a few months ago there's quite a similarity.
From Drukqs to Syro. Crazy to think -
A lot of the film uses popular music to convey the time period being covered. I demand a fan film edit starting with Avril 14th on six year old Mason, and finishing with Minipops (or whatever) when he's 18.
even better yet, a fan edit with avril 14 looped during the entire length of the film, just the first few opening chords
