  1. Went on a hike up in the Santa Monica mountains here in coastal California and it was awesome. Not quite the lush green views you guys have over there across the pond... more desertscapes over here. Oversteps would have made a nice soundtrack.

Ended up at a small creek where ladybugs are in abundance

Stopped to rest, have some snacks and enjoy a nice Boards of Canada moment... (looking up)

  2. is there a mirror for this somewhere?

    the megaupload one is down

The original upload is not available anymore, but you can ask boredroom to reupload it. Meanwhile i have upped this one: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MB5KFWM5 It has the two sides of the tape split into the 15 tracks and a cover artwork i did with the title 'Bits' in homage to the 'Bytes' that TBD did in the 90's.

Is this new version mastered/boosted/anything at all? Or just split with artwork?

  3. Anyone else here seen Glass Candy live? It's a fun show... she freestyles a lot. Would see again.

Talking to her at first I thought she might be kind of an airhead... later I realized she was probably just on teh drugz. lol

  4. I was checking out what appears to be their latest "The Album" on Rephlex.com

How would you say this album, as their most recent output, stacks up against their previous work?

Previous to now all I've ever heard was Diagram VII (80's mix) on Braindance Coincidence.

  5. When I investigate an artist for the first time I usually start with their first release and work my way up chronologically. Thought I'd try something different and ask around to see what the general consensus was regarding their strongest release or what might be the best representation of their sound.

  6. find out for you self. rephlex.com

That is what I'm doing currently.

Thanks for assuming I am retarded.

I've seen the name thrown out here and there on this forum. Just wondering about personal preferences and where others feel is a good introduction.

    Thanks, Sneaks.

  7. I can't stop listening to this (converted for the m4a single file and separated to 320 kbps mp3) tracks :whistling:

Same here. Every day at work, almost all day long. There is so much to discover still.

    Hai guyz!

For those of you lamenting the lack of beats in Oversteps, I've begun working on a release called "(Undercuts-"

    Here's a preview of the first track I started working today: ++ [[ -LINK- ]] ++

Pretty awesome. Will be keeping tabs on this.

    -----------

If Quaristice is aquatic, Oversteps is more terrainian (I don't think that's even a word, but you catch my drift).

Os Veix3 is among my top 3, if not my favorite track. It's like walking across the surface of Mars, surrounded by rocks, spikes, and gaseous mini geysers, bouncing and erupting all around you like waveforms in rhythm with your step. Desolate and solitary, but not depressing. Wish it would go on longer. This album is an exploration for sure. New territory with familiar elements, and I'm enjoying it. Can't wait for full quality audio.

  8. Is that going to be 3pm - 8pm PST on the west coast of the U.S.? (Is it currently 7pm CET?)

And what was this link? mms://85.214.45.87:80/fritz.sonntag.1 It is the one I was listening to earlier. Is that one still valid or the fritz.de livestream one?

I like the fritz.sonntag link better, it is playing dance and the other livestream link is playing pop :-(

  9. Lola, by the kinks. BLECH

    aw i love that song

yeah dude. calx, you need a good punch in the nuts because your manhood is obviously inoperable anyway.

I'm with Calx on this one. I adore the Kinks but can't stand Lola. Sorry.
