The Black Dog - Bytes !!!!!!!!

Which record store was this at?

    Amoeba Music Hollywood, yo

    Why, was it yours? lol

Nope, you just went there on a good day. Is it black or bronze?

    Black.

Wasn't any Aphex vinyl but I wasn't surprised.

The Black Dog - Bytes !!!!!!!!

What makes this shopping trip even better is that I paid solely with gift certificates I got for my birthday earlier this year so I paid $0.00 out of pocket.

  3. collaboration AND theft ;)

those drums are from my first electronic jams, after i got my electribe er-1.

between 199/6/7-2010 we used to have these jam sessions with me, my brother tomplex and aleksi. snippets of noises from those jams have found their way into numerous aleksi-tunes.

stuff on boom blaster and mental union got started in our jams. of course he made em to his own versions.

and while i´m on the topic, i composed the looney bassline and glidey melody in project v track Sunbath.

so yeah, everyhing by aleksi (except some melodies, basslines, drums, tracknames and sounds :)

Wow, that is really cool/interesting. Any hard feelings? Or is this generally accepted amongst you guys?

  4. Herb will always be my favorite Primus drummer (and one of my all time favorite drummers in general) but I can't wait to hear how Jay's style meshes with the Les and Lar of today. I think only good can come if this. These guys are so creative and unique and I think collaborating with different players is what they need to keep things fresh and interesting (for themselves as much as for their fans)

Primus is one of those bands that I purchase albums from without needing to hear a single note before hand. Consider this one purchased.

  5. BTW, why aren't the files tagged with "Astrobotnia" as artist?

Doesn't Bandcamp metatag your tracks for you based on the album info you input on the page? My guess is he didn't realize it was going to make the artist Aleksi Perala.

"Short Attention Span" was still tagged as Ovuca, and it's on the same Bandcamp account, isn't it?

yep. But I think you can input a different "artist name" for each track and/or release, and he might have accidentally left it blank or something.

Or not. But it seems obvious that it's an Astrobotnia release, and not an Aleksi Perala release.

  6. I doubt he would release anything he felt is sub par...

Anyway I agree with the general consensus here regarding 0, wow, this album is amazing!

  7. My dog's name is Olive. She is just under 3 lbs. but isn't yappy or annoying like other small dogs. More like a cat really, except she actually cares when I come home or interact with her. She is the sweetest, cutest dog I've ever known and I love her to bits. Many more images within spoiler tag.

    VERY cute.

we had a 3lb'er recently for a few weeks. or first chihuahua infact and she totally made us realise why people like them, so loyal, so friendly and very well behaved (not yappy or overly timid). she got adopted and we're sad again.

Aw. Do you work at a shelter?

the water you see is a part of lake george, everything looks so small in the pics....

Wow, those are great pics! Cool dog. What is the cabin?

Yeah, I can't ever seem to capture on camera the immensity of some places. Or the saturation of rainbows either. Just have to be there, I guess. :emotawesomepm9:
