  1. thank you. i just filmed a drawing of an eye i did to the vcr, then i filmed the vhs with my dslr pointing at the tv and grabbed screenshots from the cpu and they turned out a-ok. just in time for the bbq.

i'm looking forward to the trip to the Goodwill tomorrow to root around for a vcr, the one i have now is just bundled into a tv and i can't adjust the tracking and it's super wonky. i remember having vcr's growing up where they had a whole shit ton of options for tracking, i'd love to land one of those for like ten bucks !

what the fuck? this is freaking awesome ! do you have a portfolio or collection of work i may look at?

edit: sorry, that was me being overly stoned and lazy, i just saw the tumblr link now !

edit2: oh man these are so maximum pleasant, thank you

  3. The IT Crowd, i just discovered it in January and have been laughing my ass off. it's rather brilliantly written, too.

just recently started 30 Rock from the beginning. when i heard about the show, i started late !

Louie is fucking amazing. Netflix only has a handful, i don't even know if it's still going on, but i love C.K. so hard.

also, every once in a while i'll turn on some Mitchell & Webb, but i'm not crazy about it.

oh, what they showed of Portlandia on Netflix was awesome ! i'd love to see more.

Arrested Development, started that one from the beginning. so glad that i'm finally able to experience this show all the way through. it's not something you can just catch an episode of every once in a while, like Always Sunny, which is always funny.

  4. Fire & Ice

can't go wrong with Ralph Bakshi/Rene Laloux.

of course there's also Krull, Willow, The Warrior and the Sorceress, The Neverending Story, Conan The Barbarian, Excalibur, of course, Heavy Metal is probably the epitome of what you're seeking. there's another one that i'm trying to think of... i'll have to get back to you.

by the way, Rene Laloux did Fantastic Planet / Le Planet Sauvage fyi
