just curious if anyone has heard the coil song 'at the heart of it all' and if there seems to be a correlation between the two.

nine inch nails named the aphex tracks on FDTS

i kind of figured this, i've always thought there was a correlation but was never quite able to put my finger on it.

and nin, being very familiar with coil's work, might have heard some similarities or something. also it fits the sound of the song and the whole entire theme of that era (the golden age imo) of nine inch nails.

god dam i loved nine inch nails back in the day

I too love the way the strings clip in this track. It deserves a "best clipping" award... although it's neck and neck with a track off the new Flaming Lips album where the bass clips in the best possible way.

trent used to be a big fan of rdj, i remember reading him giving high remarks to saw2, but i've lost too much respect for nin, guess we can't have the fragile years back

i also have an interview with peter christopherson (the 'Spoiler' dvd) commenting that aphex twin is inspiring
