I NEED HELP!

yo

 

 

right, can anyone help me, here is the problem.

 

when i arm a audio track to record something in via my mic or imput it records all the other tracks as well..

 

and well, all i want is to record the only thing thats going into the audio channel

 

 

any ideas of what to do?

i do, when i arm record on the audio track... when i press play the drums and everything else gets recorded into that channel..

 

look at the picture...

 

my audio tracked is armed and i press play and it picks up the drum track

you need to open up all the routing for the track (one of the buttons far right by the master volume). The it'll show you what is being recorded from where etc etc. You should be able to select the right one from there.

how many physical inputs to your soundcard?

 

if its just a stereo in youll only be able to record two tracks (L+R or 2xmono)

 

also check to make sure that your not sending any other tracks to the record track

soundcard has line in and mic in... i use the line in

 

 

and how to i check if im sending anyother tracks to the record track?

 

 

i just sussed it it was such a spazzy thign as well...

 

one track 1 and one track 2

i had it on either 1/2 or 1 and 1 now its 1 2 hurrah

open up sounds and audio devices in your control panal... go to the audio tab and click volume under sound recording. make sure microphone is selected and not WAVE or "What U Hear".

cool....

 

i noticed youve got your soundcard set to MME/directx, switch to asio if you have it, better latency

if youve not got asio drivers try asio4all

 

ive got a realtek onboard sound card in my laptop and i can get <5ms

It gives you better latency on not-so-great soundcards.
