I can pick one up really cheap at the p-shop $200.00.Anyone have any experience messing about with one of these?

ive found some demos that seem to indicate it has capabilities for decent sound creation- quality strings and lush pads really stood out when i listened to mp3 demos. Some one convince me just a little so i can buy it..

hardware junkie buying phase :snares:

d00d - Tango N Vectif. What more do you need to know?

someone to actually share their experience with using one- not who uses one

i disagree.

the roland d series is really fucking limited because all the sounds are based on digital samples.

(digital native dance anyone lololol.)

you'd be better with a midid analogue, or a dx7.

just my twopenn'orth.

actually thats not true at all by a long shot.... it only uses the attacks of digital sounds (like a fraction of a second) and layers that with a pure synth tones

its wonderful for textures and pads + plus all kinds of stuff...

its not a bullshit rompler and you should read about it before you talk nonsense- (digital native dance anyone lololol.)? thats a retarded thing to say buddy

has real anolog filters as well

I bought it today

i never said it was a bullshit rompler.

ok so i made a mistake as regards the style of synthesis.

i still don't like the d50, and digital native dance is an example of the stupid useless sounds that come with it. so yeah, i stand by my 'lololol'. stupid ass sound.

i hope you enjoy it however. 200 quid though?

d50 is an excellent synth, very deep & programmable. nice fuzzy wooly sound too for a late 80s-era massproduced digital synth.

200$ is a great price btw

Your not supposed to use the presets, you simply make your own.. you have to remember the time that the synth was produced....

and its not 200 quid.. i paid $200
