Hi i´m new here, I searched across hte forum and found nothing about this:

5 years ago I bought here in Chile, a few used vinyl records, from a local dj.

One was a Sabres of Paradise white label, promo only, and the other one was a Basscadet EP separated in 3 vinyls.

codes as follow: 10.wap.44 first record 10.wap.44DP second record, and finally 10.wap.44AE the third record.

close to the label, in the ring were no sound is recorded in the vinyl i found these strange marks:

Is it a mystery?

help us unveil it.

It's quite common, I think it's the person who makes the press master who likes to joke a bit (cause they don't "write" on every single 12" I guess?!?) - I got loads of "mystery" 12"... :)

from discogs -

Runout grooves:

Basscadetmxs (1 Of 3)

A:"THERES A SHEEP LOOSE IN THE LANE"

B:"THERES A GOOSE ASLEEP IN THE RAIN"

Basscadetmxs (2 Of 3)

A:"HOW'D THAT HAPPEN, MUST BE A GHOST IN 'ERE"

B:"BEING INVISIBLE IS THE BEST!"

Basscadetmxs (3 Of 3)

A:"DIG THAT CRAZY FULL MOON"

B:"THATS A FULL EARTH, BUTCH"

...more weird than the music at the time, nowadays "fol4" beats this, fo sho.... :D

example-wise, for what reason rather than 'mystery reason' you will keep line-up like this:

9th album to be released on 3/3, three years after previous, with catalogue number 333, three tracks containing 9 in its name etc., doing first live on non-existence three other years 29th february and releasing album digitally on 29th january etc.

about 30% of records have something interesting written in the run-out grooves.

interesting doesn't include "mastered by guy at the exchange"
