Pizza Toast

Has anyone ever tried Pizza Toast? It's a jar of pasta-sauce I found in my fridge. Presumably you're supposed to spread the tomato, mushroom and bacon flavoured sauce over toast creating some sort of pizza-based snack.

I saw it a week ago and was thoroughly disgusted with the idea. But now I'm half-way through cooking myself a meal and find I have no sauce to mix it all together. This stuff looks like pasta-sauce and smells like pizza. I can't imagine it'll be terrible, but I expect that this jar doesn't hold much in the way of culinary class.

that's very familiar. i think i remember it from my childhood, if so it's quite weird that it still exists.

if you want pizza toast, you can put pizza ingredients on toast.. this is probably better used as a pasta sauce

say what, is 'pizza toast' a brand name?

i used to eat pizza toast, as in ketchup and cheese melted onto bread all the time as a kid. the posh shitlings at my secondary school actually mocked this diet. i think it was the lack of ciabatta bread and sundried tomatoes in the recipe.

i used to put pasta and mozerella and four or five pepperonis on half an english muffin, then put in toaster oven bake bake, delicious dual pizza. perhaps i should buy materials for this again.

The worst thing you can put on toast are these:

Heinz_Toast_Toppers.jpg

little tins of spread that you put on your toast then grill.

I had a ham and cheese one, and I could taste it for about a week afterwards...the memory still haunts me.

Seriously, you have been warned. Never, ever have a toast topper.

Guest my usernames always really suck

When i was a kid I had an autistic friend who ate nothing but bread-pizzas.

Wonder Bread...

Gooped ketchup on it

Put Kraft cheese on top of that

And used sliced bologna as the "pepperoni"

Then microwaved it for 5 fucking minutes. 5 minutes, no shit.

I like the idea that they couldn't get the inherent mushroomyness out of the taste of the product, so they just made every flavour ...& mushroom.
