Mellow U Posted April 23, 2009 Share Posted April 23, 2009 MILIEU BRITTLE PAPER CATHEDRALS So I've spent some time crafting my newest ambient mantlepiece, and for those of you who liked my previous Infraction releases, Of The Apple or Brother, BPC should deliver. I haven't made music like this in about three years (A Warm Wooden Hollow was completed in 2006) and after some time off of the 'polite ambient music' circuit I have a renewed interest and hopefully a fresher outlook. Musically this material consists of three 'suites' made up of clusters of separated tracks. Meandering (yet pretty) melodies and tones swirl around with barely any repetitions, and organ pedalbass-lines anchor the chord changes down beneath that. There's also lots of crumbly textures and muted dynamics and even a few very straightforward organ melodies.
