American guys, have any of you watched this new Flashforward series, based on the novel by Robert James Sawyer? From the makers of lost. They love their flashforwards so much they had to make a whole series about it. Is it any good? Its coming to the uk soon and I wouldnt mind a new series to watch like lost or prison break or whatever. Is it that kind of show? Does it have the potential for addiction. It doesnt look like it from the trailers. I mean - Robert James Sawyer, Clearly the book has inspired lost as a series, they stole the authors name. Cant be coincidence. Its pretty addicting so far but then again ive never read the book so it may be lacking, but i like it, fills the void and is kind of a head fuck. Its kind of different from other mystery show where I have seen where the whole premise of the show is one big headfuck, rather than something that builds up out of something small, like twin peaks, you start of with something crazy and slowly piece together how it happened and why. I'm not sure why we continue to watch it. that reminds me of Rescue 911 or Unsolved Mysteries..... they were pretty fucking bad but my mom and i used to watch them together when i was a kid. I'm not sure why we continue to watch it. ditto. ham acting, shit casting, poor realism (empty FBI office at night except one dimly lit 'booth' - what no night shift after the world's biggest cataclysm??) and did I mention the ham acting? Still, the plot is probably going to be enough to hold it together for a dozen episodes before it starts to dissolve back into its constituent ingredients - namely dog poo.
