When I improvise, I try to incorporate every "mistake" until there are none. An accidental note or a key hit off the beat can lead to an interesting motif if it's worked in correctly. The next time you play, try not to hesitate when something happens that you don't intend. The trick is to immediately let go of whatever you heard in your head and to listen to the mistake as though it was meant to be there. Try it - I'd be interested in hearing the results.

i do that alot when sequencing leads, intentionally leave a couple of mistakes to make it sound less, well, sequenced. playing live is a whole nother thing though. anyway, thanks for listening. ;D
