Would be nice if their next album came with a bonus disc of unreleased stuff. I'd include (old album titles):

AFOT: Spectrum, Finity, Forest Moon, Skimming Stones, Mansel, King Of Carnival, M9, Sequoia.

OTV2: Mukinabaht, Bmx Track, Zander Two.

OTV1: Side 1 - Audiotrack 06. Side 2 - Audiotrack 01, Audiotrack 16.

My favourites:

35 Track Tape:

She Is P

A3 (3:45)

A4 (0:50) (I REALLY like this one for some reason)

A6 (4:57)

A12 (2:13)

A14 (1:46)

B5 (1:52)

B7 (3:42)

B11 (3:31)

B12 (3:33)

B15 (2:04) (Absolutely orgasmic. It's like an entire nebula of stars exploding)

B20 (0:27) (BoC's haunting equivalent to Caustic Window's "Pigeon Street")

A Few Old Tunes:

The lead between Light, Clear Hair and PC is great. It starts with dialogue from a fashion show, with a woman willing to try anything to look good, and it slowly fades into a porn clip. The message is, all that stuff about fashion and trying to look good, it all culminates into fulfilling the basic human desire to have sex.

Rodox Video

Finity

Forest Moon

Skimming Stones (when I first heard this, I literally thought it was the most amazing thing I had ever heard)

Sac

I Love You (The Color Of The Fire sounds louder on here, and it leads into the next track perfectly)

King of Carnival

M9

Sequoia (obviously)

5.9.78

Nova Scotia Robots

Old Tunes vol. 2:

We've Started Up (I don't listen to this track much, but when I first heard it, I found the beginning to be so dark and twisted. This was before I found out it was a remix of another track)

Iraq Says (BoC lulz)

Iced Cooly Beatnik

David Came To Mahana'im

Fly In The Pool (actually, no, THIS is BoC's equivalent to Pigeon Street)

Mukhinabaht (this sounds distinctly more professional than the rest of OT2)

BMX Track

Hiscores (one of the very few tracks I have ever heard powerful enough to make me cry)

Magic Teens

Buckie High

I Love My New Shears (I don't know, I just really like this for some reason)

Powerline Misfortune (one of the darkest BoC tracks ever)

Well, there ya go. I actually listed quite a lot of tracks, but they all deserved special attention because they really were highlights. I really don't think I could narrow the list down. Whoa that took ages to write.

what's the one with the same drumloop as June 9th but much faster? not sure what unreleased release (lol?) it's on, but it's one of my favourites from the secret BOC repertoire. can't be arsed finding out what it's called since i'm listening to some rocksteady ska right now lol

there's probably only <10 tracks in all the unreleased BOC shit that i care about but those ones are pretty decent

i made myself cassettes of the old tunes tapes. makes more sense to listen to them this way. i highly encourage it.

from volume one:

trapped, rodox video, forest moon, carcan, mansel, she is p, sac, sequoia, 5.9.78, up the march bank

volume two had way more surprising gems:

i love we've started up, starts off so creepy then busts in to this dancey trapped-like remix. awesome.

to the wind is cool

nine-rubber wisdom with it's kid for today chord progression

sir prancelot brainfire is a weird and awesome classic

mukinabaht

side 2 is even better

kiteracer2, bmx track, zander two

magic teens is weird and beautiful

alpha rainbow is clearly a proto-ROYGBIV

northern plastics is fucking amazing and one of my favorite boc songs

orange hexagon sun is a cool opposite to turquoise

then ending on powerline misfortune.

volume 2 is a really great compilation. this reminds me that i still need to make my 35 tracks tape. i havent really given that one a fair chance. that tape hiss over the whole thing is annoying. maybe it wont sound so bad on cassette with dolby noise reduction or something.
