I'm pretty sure I only saw it once, but the impression was major. I just remember the starkness, the blood... Anyway, I was looking on youtube last night, watching some of Watership Down to remember, and came across a movie called Plague Dogs, also directed by Martin Rosen (the guy who did Watership Down)...Plague Dogs was another part in the same series as Watership Down, I guess. But anyway, in related searches, I found a site called "kindertrauma," which goes over all the things that may have traumatized and damaged your mind as a child. Watership Down certainly isn't for kids, and I can't imagine any other books in the series are either... Anyway, just because the movie is animated (and has rabbits) I'm assuming it's for kids, which is stupid. Akira is not for kids. I remember being a child and getting this out of the children's movie section. So if anyone is to blame, I guess it's the people who classified the movie as "for children"...
