Hey guys, this is an experimental IDM track that i finished a little while ago. It would be great to get some feedback on the composition, as well as the mixing and production.

Also, does it move you in anyway? evoke any emotions? be interesting to get your thoughts.

Thanks guys

Very nice actually, I think this is more accomplished than the other track you posted, it's more catchy, warmer and somehow more immediate, the change up around 2.19 is interesting, the dischordant melody that comes in almost shouldn't work when juxtaposed alongside the main melody but it does for me because it's pretty bold and I like your beatwork. Eq could use a little care, it's good but I can still hear room for more sparkle.

Advice wise, I'd maybe break things right down in the last minute, finish up the beats and maybe experiment with some

verb effects on those major key melodies, they are really pretty. The ending is the only criticism here, it's VERY abrupt, almost cut off, I'm not sure if it's an mp3 fault or intentional but it could certainly benefit from a definite finish.

This kept my interest enough to want to hear it finished up, I can still hear the main melody after I've taken my headphones off, a good sign.

Thanks alot for the listen man ! yeah, this track is the direction i'm moving in, the other track is somewhat older. I was going for a warm sound, so glad you noticed that. Yeah, i was worrying if the melody at around 2.19 might be too much, too dischordant, but i liked it so i stuck with, so it's cool you dig it.

Think you're right about the ending man, take the beats out and then wind down by bringing some of the melodies to the forefront sounds like a good idea, got a few projects at the moment, but i will be returning to this in a short while, i'll definately be using some of your advice man.

oh yeah, forgot, you're right about the eq, i've got it to a stage i'm happy enough with for now, but as you say, some more polish on the final mix would be good. cheers

it's definitely got something imo but it lacks focus.

hey man, cool you hear something in it, yeah, focus in a song is sometimes a problem for me, also i was experimenting with the arrangement, so i may have gone a bit wrong in my experimenting. cheers for the feedback man, how was the production and mixing to you?

I'm not immediately drawn to in on its own like I want to listen to it over and over, but it might be the kind of track that would stand out well in context of an album. Perhaps it should be track 5 after that really dark epic track 4.
