Guest cult fiction Posted December 26, 2010 Share Posted December 26, 2010 No mention of BoC yet? Shocked! Joy Orbison has some of the best use of vocal snippets in recent memory. Also, Drexciya/Dopplereffekt/etc. have excellent vocal snippets, both original and sampled. Let's not forget afx either - his samples add a lot of character to every track! All in all I am very pro vocal samples as long as they aren't gimmicky. I like Vibert a lot but he can too often use vocal samples like a crutch to add interest to a track. I like Vibert a lot but he can too often use vocal samples like a crutch to add interest to a track. boc is a good example too. really ODD use of vocals i think luke just sometimes enjoys building a song around a vocal sample. we all know he is talented enough to do without. but just think of stuff like Musipal! unparalled album. i don't really see a problem with that. i like them when they are tasteful. ^^ VHS Head is a good example.
