...PDC in the last stages, BDO kicking off. Any fans here?

Gary Anderson in the form of his career v Barney right now. Throwing 180s and 140s in every leg.

I so want Hankey to beat Scotty 2 Hotty(what a twat), after Wade handed to him in the Grand Slam.

Edit: 2 legs in and its not looking likely.

Ted Hankey looks like a walking heart attack. But still, great character. Thought he was going to lose the temper once or twice, he would have in other years. Sadly we missed that treat.

Waites and Webster in the PDC look very undertattoed for darts players.

The tournament lost a little ray of light with Pecker Woods. I always like the way he bounces around the place like a little bird.

It's a bit like football.

Yes, there is a lot to be said for the glitz and glamour of the PDC, the skill levels/scoring seem to be a higher no matter what Adams and co. say. But you can get thrilling games on a muddy pitch between lower league teams, and boring snoozefests between Inter and AC Milans. There is something ore 'earthy' about the BDO, and that is likeable too.

If Anderson controls his nerves, he should win on the formbook. But he is inclined to get a little wayward within sight of the finishing line and get the felling that the whole thing may rattle him more than Lewis.

Wolfie Adams, BDO top-ranked player, is from my hometown and still plays for the pub where Gary C used to work (according to Wikipedia). He's also an absolute gentleman who'll let you go to the bar in front of him even if he was there first. And that's all I know about darts.

I had always thought of him as a bit boorish and likes to pick at the whole pdc wound and have a go at them.

Now I will look at him in a new light. You can tell much from someone's pub etiquette, the way they treat staff and punters, and what you say says something good about him.

Well, like I say I know nothing about darts or his professional career... but as a casual drinker he has earned my respect.

Been some excellent darts the last couple of days. Martin Phillips 164 out in the penultimate leg made me leap out of my seat.
