'Fun with adMet' will explore my knowledge of additive rhythm, an approach to music widely used in the eastern world. Philip Glass is well known for using this kind of rhythm in his early material, and I have to say I am hugely inspired by works such as 'Two Pages', 'Contrary Motion', '600 Lines' and 'Music In Twelve Parts'. Though Parts 2 and 3 are still unfinished, Part 4 is ready for your listening pleasure. This piece is a long exploration of D major, traveling up and down a patch of notes in a wealth of interesting ways, all the while harmonizing with a bass that effortlessly matches the complex rhythm of its partner.
