hello,

don't know if anyone here knows anneka - she has had vocals sampled on quite a lot of decent dubstep productions. (vex'd, starkey etc.)

got a hold of this acapella and decided to do a remix...

the main part of the track (with the vocals) is at 100bpm but speeds up to 117 for the upbeat middle drop

sum feedback wud be sweet!

thought the bell clangs were mixed a little too loud, compared to the beat and vocals, or maybe that is my room resonating because of standing waves? Nice remix.

yeh mite have a little play around with that and do another mixdown, there was also a little bit where the hats cut out that i want to sort out

always notice stuff AFTER bouncing!will sort that right now tho..

cheers for listening

Ok - I've listened to it again and I've got a few things to add. I agree with Jonas that the bell clangs are too loud but apart from that I love them. They remind me of the bells/music box samples that can be found on Björk's Vespertine album. I would probably remove the bitcrushed rides or whatever they are that come in at 0:39 and add some simple airy strings playing one note instead because they would definitely help tie the whole thing together.

Oh, and I would probably make the snare more simple as well. Right now it plays on 2 and 4 or something like that, right? I would probably just let it play on 3 instead and then add some effects to it every now and then through aux/bus channels to give it a more dubby feeling.

But don't get me wrong, I like the track! I love the bells, bass, and vocals. They really compliment each other! The buildup is also pretty good!

did play around with the mixing and toned down the bell synth part a bit after the first comment (the version there now is the updated version), but i guess maybe not quite enough.
