This is very cool. What I miss are maybe some pads sweeping by during the first three minutes. To be honest I didn't find the last part after the 3.34 mark very interesting - the first part was enjoyable though.

Really nice production. Where did you get the samples you're using?

You are right regarding the addition of a pad sound. Thats one think i need to add.

Regarding the samples:

I do not use samples or synth presets that other people have produced at any given time cause i find that very boring. :catfallen:

The samples for this track were created by throwing stuff around in my kitchen, recording the whole process and then cutting and mangeling parts of these recordings with renoise. That weird screaming lead synth is also a sample that i created using Madronalabs Aaltoo. The strange backing bassline/pad thingy was created with my nord lead 3.

That's cool, reminds me of the Amon Tobin album "Foley Room". What kind of recording setup do you have? I'm also interested in getting a mic to do field recordings including walking around and hitting stuff.

I have this one for a long time now and know inside out what it does. There are better ones out on the market, thought.

Okay I might have to check one of those out. Have you recorded percussive sounds and used them?

What do you mean, like classic percussion?

Yeah sure. Also like hitting metal plates or sheet metal <3

I dont have a classic set of drums, stuff like that i record at a friends studio, when i need it. But that happens 0-1% of a time.

Recordings of me hitting metal i do quite often. You see that little peak LED on the recorder? That's your friend for this type of recordings. Just turn the recording volume down till it does not blink when you hit whatever you want to hit.
