  1. I bought the CD not long after he announced it and was pretty pissed off with the never ending wait and then the realisation it was because the tracks were coming on vinyl through De:tuned. Nuron must have seen my moaning online because he refunded me out of the blue for the CD. Anyway, I have been watching to see if/when they would come out. I looked yesterday and saw the CD/cassette are no longer available and a thread about it on Discogs says Bandcamp have blocked him from selling physical items. Not sure where that leaves everyone who purchased.

I do wonder what's happened to him, been radio silence for months.

hmmmm. no wonder the cds took so long.

i definitely fall into the annoyed camp - as i don't even buy cds but was under the impression the material was exclusive.

I still have no idea why the CDs are taking so long, you don’t take peoples money and then just sit on it, CDs take a couple of weeks to produce at most, maybe add a few months for artwork etc.

I too was under the impression they were exclusive tracks, regretting the CD purchase now, would rather have ordered this for far less.

I absolutely love the tracks but I’m so negative on this whole release at the moment. Feel like a mug.

edit: just noticed the vinyl release date, so yes, that explains the delay to the CDs/Tapes, but guess we didn’t deserve an explanation for the year long wait.

  3. Almost forgotten I'd even pre-ordered this, crazy it's taking so long. Anyway, just checked on Bandcamp and there's been another update: "Apologies for the delay. Shipping will begin by end of June". There's also a track listing for the bonus CD...

Extra will be a bonus CD of unreleased material from 1993-1996.
    CD track list:
1: Nuron - The Coded Message
    2: Nuron - Interior World
3: Nuron - Waiting For Nothing
    4: Nuron - Another Way
5: Nuron - Neither Here Nor There
6: Fugue - Contrapoint (First version)
    7: Nuron - Dialectic Confusion
    8: Fugue - Contrapoint (Stasis Mix 2)

Plus 2 new updated remixes of tracks from 1993-1996 as a download.

And some mockups of the (I assume) final artwork, was expecting something amazing after after all this time.

  4. Finally finished reading it all, every page,  every track and mix. Hugely enjoyable, informative and well written, amazing achievement Ross, and really made be appreciate and re-evaluate some releases.

It was funny reading about releases I’d designed, still get a kick of having done them (roll on Mind Maps 3). Also had to laugh at the pic of the ‘95 Essential Mix track listing as that was my photo shot on my old work desk.

I should also add that sT8818r and bdog on the Mind Maps 2 sleeve weren’t added by me, I asked Brian for some aliases to add to the artwork as, unlike the first one, I didn’t know who was on this one.

Better late than never, here's the Cascade track-by-track...

    Part 1
    Part 2
    Part 3
    Part 4
    Part 5
    Shortform

I’m steadily making my way through these when I can and am reading every piece. I’m definitely learning some great trivia and have enjoyed going back and listening to tracks again after reading about them.

Cascade was utterly amazing when it came out, I’d never heard anything like it. I remember chatting with a couple of friends about how excited we were for Lifeforms, it seemed like a huge wait for that. I’m still blown away by the CD single even now, it swaps places as my favourite with My Kingdom on a regular basis
