  1. “I’m writing the script for Dune II. Dune II is totally Dune Messiah, with variations on the theme. ... Dune Messiah is a very short book, and a lot of people don’t like it, but in there are some really nifty ideas. I’m real excited about that, and I think it could make a really good film. It starts 12 years later, and this creates a whole new set of problems. ... It should have a different mood. … It should be 12 strange years later.”David Lynch, Starburst #78 (January 1985)

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, in an interview with CNBC, expressed his support for the approval of Bitcoin ETFs, stating that they are just the first step towards the tokenization of financial assets. He emphasized that ETFs are "step one in the technological revolution in the financial markets," and that "step two is going to be the tokenization of every financial asset."

Car rental giant Hertz this morning said it would sell 20,000 of its electric vehicles to buy more internal combustion vehicles, citing expensive repairs for its EVs.

"Expenses related to collision and damage, primarily associated with EVs, remained high in the quarter, thereby supporting the Company's decision to initiate the material reduction in the EV fleet," Hertz said in a filing this morning to the SEC.

The move marks an abrupt reversal by Hertz, which in 2022 announced plans to buy 165,000 EVs from Tesla and Volvo unit Polestar.

Repairing an EV after a collision in 2022 cost about 56% more than a conventional internal combustion vehicle, per a report last year from CCC Intelligent Solutions. The wait time for such repairs was also about 25% longer with an EV.

Feast your eyes & ears on a new EP by legendary vocalist, musician & songwriter Dorothy Moskowitz (United States Of America / Country Joe / United States Of Alchemy) & Swedish artist / musician Retep Folo a.k.a. Peter Olof Fransson (The Owl Report / Reportage / Exhadley).

Fans of late 1960s & early 1970s psychedelia, experimental rock & eco-conceptual electronics take note - this is the real deal. Steeped in vintage instrumentation that alternates between avant-garde chorales, mystical mantras, slabs of fuzz guitar, whimsical keyboards, jagged synths & menacing percussion, Dorothy & Peter have produced a mesmerising collection on this 4 track EP (with a 14 track album 'The Afterlife' soon to follow).

Repeat listens reveal a wealth of layered sounds, moods & messages within a finely crafted, heartfelt paene to nature's cycles & our fragile planet. Traversing aural landscapes akin to Mort Garson, Bruce Haack, Alessandro Alessandroni, Alain Goraguer, David Axelrod, Franco Battiato, Maria Monti, Brigitte Fontaine & Areski, early Broadcast & Portishead, this inspired collaboration invites you on a fantastic journey into the afterlife.
