How about a cool hype campaign followed by singles with music videos  I’m ready for an AElbum that feels like an event again.

i'd be down with some fresh official Ae music vids as well, been a while since we've had one of those!

ideal scenario: surprise announcement via email with instant download + physical release a short time later

  3. lol, in the Helsinki set, around 35:30 when that crazy breakbeat-y bit really gets going, there's this repeated bongo-type sound that sounds an awful lot like the one used in the Apache break (the one on the 2nd beat of each bar). the level of detail in these sets is absolutely nuts! can't wait to dive in further and find more of those funny bits

As for gonk, compare it with runrepik, tuinorizn and oversteps tour stuff

As for spaces how V — it is from Rob itself as i asked about spectral resynthesis qualities and he answered like "it is just some experiments with G2's Vocoder module"

cool bit of info, thanks. where did you ask this? chatmm?

  6. took me a while to appreciate this one. for a long time i found myself appreciating single tracks here or there, but never the whole package. Now of course I came to the conclusion that the entire thing completely slaps.

In my mind I still unconsciously compare it to LP5 (my absolute fav AE project), probably because of the similar naming convention and because they came out around the same time. But they're very different in terms of sound

It's autechre taking their final night drive down a city highway (Michael Mann style)

Interesting that you say that, I've always thought Surripere would be a perfect background score for a tense sequence in a heist movie, like Heat
