VekoS is my favorite AE track =(
am I fired?
But it's so dull... and boring...
Leave.
If VekoS is your favorite ae track, I just can't... just can't...
*thinks about all the past greats and cries*
It's far from my favorite ae track, learn to read. But it's not dull and boring, it's a great track.
I was referring to stephen. Learn to read.
Learn to read.

in a way it sounds more like early 2000s AE, very compressed little 'space' like Exai and L-event but still very much filled with that crazy sharp comb filter/nasy delay melody stuff like in Vekos and Spl9
sounds great
But like Vekos and Spl9 are from Exai?...
yes they are, i could understand the confusion. It sounds more like the hyper detailed really dense sound design of their old stuff like gantz graf but with the same timbre as the delay/comb filtering sounds they use on those 2 tracks.
It reminds me of the older AE style that i liked more when things weren't as overtly sloppy/raw sounding
Ahh I get you now. Yeah my thoughts are pretty much the same here.

Gonna re-read Alasdair Gray's Lanark.
Also picking up V, Ulysses, and Darren Shan's new Zomb-B series for fun :> (Since I was a fan of Cirque Du Freak and The Demonata series)

I'd take a picture of my workspace if it weren't so lame.

It's 4/4 all the way through (check the hihats) but the snare is just syncopated as fuck. I think the bassdrums are even the same all the way through.
Man I was just hoping they were writing in something other than 4/4 for a change, oh well.
I can imagine way more "conventional-sounding" rhythms that are in different time signatures, like cichli (5/4). This track is way harder to grok than cichli.
The way it sounds rhythmically doesn't ultimately depend on what time signature you represent it in, it's just a convention that helps with communication.
No I know, I was just thinking, I don't know. Don't really care about time sigs and what not as long as the good music's there. It was just a thought. Since they're so good at manipulating 4/4 and making it sound nothing like conventional common time that I wonder how/what they would/could do with other tim sigs. Btw Cichli's my favorite ae track ever.

Pretty sure the beat at the beginning is in 9/8.
