Kind of surprised by all the negative reviews. Could of been faked but giving him the benefit of the doubt, I think somebody like that has to be a bit crazy to do what he did, or atleast a dedicated scientist wanting to document the life of an octopus? I interpreted it as him throwing his life into this passion and growing attached to this animal which I don't blame him. But in the end how could he intervene with wild life on natures surf like that? He even questions his actions as if he might have distracted the octopus when it got attacked. It seems to have lived a full life anyway, their lifespans are about two years. I'm not sure what people are expecting, it's not a pet, still a wild animal out there
I learned a lot from the film and then learned even more by reading up about octopuses as a result of the film. I wonder if these people also hate David Attenborough as he doesn't help the animals either, or Jacques Cousteau? The guy is bonkers to spend a year documenting the life cycle of an octopus, but if it inspires people to show an interest in Ocean conversation it was worth it. The tone of the negative reviews are very similar to the one vegans use to tell you what a cunt you are for not being vegan. Congratulations for being better than everyone else.

Fear the Walking Dead: I'm pleased that this series answers questions like, why don't you just get on a fucking boat? And, why don't you just go to fucking Mexico? And also, why don't you just hold up in a bug fancy hotel? It's kinda slow moving though and is not as good as the original due to this. 7/10

Watched Paterson, thought it was dull.
Guess I'm not a Jarmusch fan.

Just finished watching both seasons of The Boys. It's an interesting doin on the superhero genre where most super heroes are actually cunts. Also the "British" characters have Australian accents, despite trying hard to sound cockney. Very entertaining!

Watched the Other Lamb on Mubi which was great. It stars the guy who plays the brother in The Haunting of Hill House as a super creepy/charismatic cult leader. 8/10
Free Fire by Ben Wheatley, not my favourite of his by far but still very good and don't understand the hate for this. Watched it back to back with High Rise which gets worse every time I watch it.

I'm now at the beginning of season 8 of the walking dead, it's kind of lost the energy it had in the earlier seasons...

I don't get this Qanon spin, if anyone in American politics at the moment has obvious connections to this sort of pedo child trafficking it's Donald Trump, the president? He doesn't even try to hide it, but istead of going after him some random bozo (who just happens to run a site where CP is posted) posts "look over there" online and people keep fucking falling for it.
Of course his arrogance and willingness to look the other way is exactly why they are flattering him by naming him as a future Messiah. Thus their site has not been taken down yet (which it should have been). He's a stupid fucking vain cunt.

If Zizek isn't the modern equivalent of that ancient Greek guy who lived in barrel and masterbated in public, then I don't know who is.

I've just remembered I haven't seen A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night or Let the Right One In, so I'm going to watch both.

Starting watching The Walking Dead...
This had better be good.

The first time I watched this I thought she was laughing at his tiny cock, but this time I realised it was because his music is shit. The moral of this story is, if a musician comes to your house and plays you their music, just tell them it's ace. Always. Just tell them..... it's fucking ace.

Just rewatched Mandy which is bonkers
Anyone who even slightly likes watching Nic Cage lose his shit just has to watch this. It's basically the most insane revenge film ever on acid (literally).
Also I recommend Colour out of Space (though I didn't recently watch it) as the second half of a double bill with Mandy.
I also watched The Lighthouse again, even though (but perhaps because) I didn't really get it the first time. I saw it the first time on my laptop (because of reasons) but this time saw it on my projector (about 60 ins on my wall). I really loved it this time and conclude that certain films you really have to watch in cinema conditions to truly appreciate.

Making a load of mashed potatoes as it's a great comfort food for the onset of winter. I'm going to put cheese and spring onions in it. Yerm yerm!

I just spent three hours staring at this and trying to figure out if what I'm looking at is the Frank or the Beans. Or neither!! Certainly one way to distract people from your aggressive orthodontic treatment.
