  1.

also listening to Syro through HD800s, getting another side of it. very nice

This is what I was saying earlier. it's certainly a different experience on a set of solid headphones. typical intricate rdj

  2.

I've experienced the album in many mediums and have this to say:

    1. ath-m50 + nuforce uDAC-2 (FLAC/mp3)

    2. '09 135i (CD)

    3. ath-m50 sans uDAC-2 (mp3)

    4. friends monitors, not sure of make & model (mp3)

    5. home stereo (mp3)

    6. earpods (mp3)

    7. '02 gti (CD)

Listening to it in the GTI made me respect the sonic range of the album. There were so many frequencies that the old system couldn't hit, like the percussion in the final section of the metz track, produk was a sad experience, too. Luckily it's not my daily driver.

The best by far is with a solid set of headphones. super immersive experience. I haven't experienced the vinyl yet, mostly because my QL-A51 is needs to be serviced. I'm sure this will compete hard for the top spot.

    so make me unterstand please.

If i buy that ath-m50 which only costs lets say around 50€ or (80dollars) and plug it into my computer and my lets say budget "soundsystem" than it will improve the quality of the sound ??

Hmm, well let me first say that I'm not professing that the album is best listened to on a certain medium over another. Nor am I saying ATH-m50's are godlike, they just happen to be the pair I own. Listed is my personal ranking of listening mediums as a function of experience and sound quality. (Yours may vary)

    Acoustics is something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  4. my vinyl came 8 days after release date. got a sticker. lol wtf bbq

same, no drop card like a lot of others did.

    lets get this straight:

    1. bleep stocks Ann Arbor based depot for US Syro releases scheduled for release day delivery.

    2. creates shipping labels on Friday before release

    3. pre-orders arrive (1) week after release date.

  5. yay finally listened to it, i love it. really solid collection of tracks.

This is the most important part of this release. The mindset prior to critique that it's not an album per-say, but a collection of tracks. Listening to Syro, for me, really puts the emphasis back on the presentation and execution of drukqs and how masterful it really is.

I got on the 'phex train some years ago and was initially reeled in by the ambient tunes. It was only until I began to love drukqs that I took a step back and went to the RDJ album and found solace in it. ICBYD hasn't quite done it for me yet, but I'm giving it time...

Syro's 1, 2, 3 is killer. minipops freshens you up, XMAS soaks you in, and produk chills you to down to the coolest of cool vibes. 4-bit doesn't sit right for me right now; it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb and serves as a strange transition to the next "section". 180db_ thru CIRCLONT14 is a group to be played together all in it's own and hint's at some sort of deliberate album-like progression structure. The title track sits common with 4-bit, transitioning to a killer finale at 10, 11, 12. PAPAT4 is surfing with no beach, the earth portal mix is otherworldly and really heightens the desire for more...except what follows is the Sunday morning flock of birds chirping with a soothing piano track reminiscent of releases past and reminding your that there's more Aphex Twin to come.

Having said all that, Bleep...come on now...
