apologies for spamming the Twin Peaks thread today, but had to share this beautiful pic of Blue Velvet at a drive in movie theater (did not know that any such theaters still existed):

I see you're in Philly and the oldest one in the US is about an hour away: https://www.shankweilers.com/

I've never been but have always wanted to check it out.

Love that scene, the Otis Redding song works really well in it, perfect choice for a slow burn romance with many obstacles finally coming to fruition.

This is one of the scenes that has stayed with me over the years:

It was nice of Lynch to offer this cameo to Joe Rogan.

hot damn that's a good deal. i imagine the knob could be fixed by Elektron themselves if nothing else.

Yeah I e-mailed them and they said they could provide the part or I can ship it to a repair center. Waiting to hear back with more info. Depending on the price I'll probably just deal with the wobbly knob but even if it's a few hundred it'd still be a steal.

  4. Picked up a used Analog Rytm MKII from Guitar Center for $550. They heavily discounted it because they said the E knob was bent and non-functioning. Turns out it does work but it is bent and a little wobbly when turning it, otherwise it's in perfect condition.

I'm not upgrading for me it's like buying it new which isn't really fair. I bought 11 a few years ago. I dunno man fair play to Ableton for having a leading product but I just think they're too greedy a very good example being Push 3 which is for me an incomplete useless product lol and very overpriced.

In what ways is it incomplete or useless?

  6. Anyone know a good pre-amp for a turntable that's ideally around $100 or less? Maybe the worst timing possible... I got those two Aphex records, London and Barcelona from this year, and when I went to listen to them realized the pre-amp I've had from over a decade died. I shook it and there was a part rattling around. I've heard good things about Schiit and see one for $149 that includes an output but just wanted to see what you guys recommended.
