When did that happen? And what record you are reffering to?
Read the description in the YT video. Not sure if real or not.

There’s always fuckery afoot when Richard is about to release some music. The blimp was my favorite form of it, and the record sleeve that was grooved and apparently had a song on it that no one could hear was the most infuriating imo. Compared to that the QR cube is a walk in the park.

Persona 5 Royal is amazing for sure. But I can't seem to beat that fucking boss with the robots, i actually quit a year or two ago. It's like s game breaking bug ffs. Retried on hard mode which seems to make it more doable but then he lashes out once and my party dies instantly
Also Yakuza Like a dragon is fucking great if we're talking jrpgs
Yeah I remember the Robot bosses being a serious pain to defeat. Are you unable to grind up some levels before it? Never tried yakuza. In other news I did just play the Final Fantasy 16 demo and holy shit, things done changed. It very obviously took inspiration from a certain series of fantasy novels but I’m not mad at that at all. Very impressed with what was shown so far.

Almost done with the FFXVI demo. I'm not a Final Fantasy fan. I'm not an RPG fan. I'm not even a medieval fantasy fan. But goddamn am I excited about the game, particularly after running through the demo (which is basically the first 2+ hours of the game).
Insanely high production values on literally everything, action is spot on. They got the combat director for DMC to head up that part (I love DMC5), but it's not exactly DMC - and I think it's better for it. They created something that feels like it fits in this genre, while still taking queues from the action heavy titles. Like, the balance seems perfect - I was worried battles would be a frustrating grind against bullet (or sword swipe I guess) sponges, but it's more nuanced. You wear down stamina and then it leaves big creatures open to increasingly higher count attacks - and at no point did I feel like I was grinding. Just, like, having FUN.
I think the thing that sort of surprised me has been the characters/story. Like, I'm already ultra invested in these characters / actually starting to care about them. It's like watching a really well done TV series but then you're sort of playing the action beats - and boy, some of the set piece stuff is crazy OTT.
It hard to know from this slice if they'll be able to keep up this quality for the duration - but I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to be on a lot of GOTY lists.
My friend sent me this link about what goes into making Japanese calligraphy ink, and why it's so expensive. TLDR, it's the excessive care, effort, and precision that goes into every step of the process. You can feel that sort of effort here - someone thought deeply about every aspect, every visual que, every interface design, every action beat, and also made sure it all felt part of a unified whole. Hats off, I'll be disappearing for a while in 12 days.
you got me pretty hyped on this. I loved FF7 (original and remake) and FF9, and couldn’t be bothered with the others for whatever reason. For some reason though, this one has really caught my eye. Also not sure if you’ve played it but Persona 5 Royal is fucking great where it relates to becoming invested in characters. It’s also incredibly imaginative and fresh as far as JRPGs are concerned though you probably would hate the combat (turned-based).
Also, speaking of FF9

Word. But probably not since it’s a ten inch. Honestly I’m just excited we’re about to get anything new at all, and 2 new things at once. Not listening to the live sets so if it is something new it will be a fresh experience first time I hear it. Field Day and the Houston tracks were great.

The festival-exclusive vinyls are cool as hell. Who knows, if we get lucky he may even expand upon the tracklist in Phex-Mart like he did with the Field Day album.

lol. What is a good man t-shirt?
It had me second guessing myself. I briefly looked down at my chest perplexed and was like fuck, have I been wearing good man shirts this entire time?

RIP. Sad to hear about his struggles but it’s good to know he has loved ones that are still here for him even in passing, and it’s cool he actually linked up with some of you here.

Dr. Disrespect is gonna be livid when he finds out Sam did the show he went half in on dirty like that after saving it from going offline due to hosting and damage fees, etc. Dude is no stranger to lawsuits already (twitch)

If this is a decent indication of how the upcoming Osees album is gonna sound then count me in.

I love Tony Hawk and was convinced he could do no wrong up until this point. Even saw some recent footage of him singing a Dead Kennedy’s song with a live band which was pretty endearing, but this looks really bad.

make way for the elephantry
will place fear in your heart for an eternity
trunks of might and tusks of steel
will stampede onward and go in for the kill
make way for the elephantry
impervious to arrows, will crush your cavalry
their stoic might will thwart your plan
they will crush your steel armor like a tin can
reinforced bladed tusks cut in half
stoic might leaves your castle cracked in half
massive elephants armed with weaponry
stomp out infantry completely effortlessly
largest land mammal weaponized for war
cantankerous, emotionless
in its wake it leaves gore
hordes of elephants poised to attack
armored beasts with trebuchets on their backs
equipped with swords on their tusks they'll stab
like a hot knife cuts through butter they will cut you in half
death is certain with these beasts on the field
endless trumpeting trunks induce horror
whole armies cower in fear
pounding tons of pure muscle
powderize your skeleton with little struggle
make way for the elephantry
10,000 tons of might will crush your castle with ease
trumpets of death your kingdom falls
10,00 ancient beasts of might will topple castle walls
make way for the elephantry
destiny determines that your kingdom will weep

Rough still seeing this dude on the downfall. I think a lot of us thought Dunn’s death was the main reason for him hitting rock bottom but it’s obvious he is just intrinsically impulsive and chaotic.

Finished the third book in Joe Abercrombie’s First Law trilogy earlier today. Really satisfying read for those who are fans of more gritty fantasy like GOT. I will say the first book (which I believe is the first book he ever published) was intensely focused on character development for mainly three characters. Glokta (the tortured turned torturer of the Inquisition who is understandably cynical but also darkly humorous and sharp), Logen Nine Fingers ( a named man of the north with a blood-soaked reputation, looking forward to leaving his past behind him) and Jezal Dan Luthar (from a wealthy family, graced with good looks, good luck, and overall just a young smug cunt of an officer destined to climb the ranks in the King’s army while stealing your girlfriend, etc.). The supporting characters are introduced and do play much bigger roles as you get into the second and third books. I also feel like the writing just gets better and better as it moves along. Don’t want to drop any spoilers but this definitely subverted my expectations quite a few times in a really good way. Definitely recommended.
edit: also found out what Dungeon Synth is perfect for. Listened to a ton of Dim and Ulk’s albums while reading these books. Complimented it perfectly.

Such a neckbeard review, lazy comparisons to other horror films..dismissive of how well the film embraced the lore and moved the narrative on
lazy comparisons sure but my beard is quite robust and located where it should be. Pat yourself on the back for getting your old angry ass out of the house and into a dark theater though snappin a photo of the ratings screen to flex on your online nemesis was an incredibly neckbearded maneuver on your part, friend. It did a great job embracing the lore and moving the narrative on as opposed to off I suppose. I probably liked it a little less than you dislike me. It’s an 8/10 guys, enjoy.

Evil Dead Rise
Fun movie especially in theaters. Took some risks by completely changing the setting which will inevitably piss of a bunch of diehards, but I thought it’s a gamble that paid off for the most part. Whoever played Ellie is the best thing in the franchise besides Ash of course. Only big let down for me was the ending, I liked the idea but it just didn’t live up to the hype. Was hoping more for something akin to a monstrosity you would see in Carpenter’s the thing, and having recently watched Phil Tippet’s MAD GOD I couldn’t help but think of how fucking amazing and grotesque it would have been had he been involved in bring that creature to life. Great gore, a few shots of dark humor and at least one very good performance from the main antagonist. Also, for a horror movie the main protagonist and the support cast in the family did a solid job imo. Worth checking out.

Sam doing way too much. Probably a result of the $30,000 site hosting fees that got his site shut down. They got swatted as well apparently, and judging by the psychopathy displayed here I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an inside job. Get these people outta here man. Subdue Sam. This is morphing from the Trout Mask Replica recording sessions to Waco real quick.- 1

Anybody Remember Wipeout 2097/XL?

The PSVR Wipeout Omega Collection was mind-blowing. Not sure if the soundtrack was the same though (it included 3 different wipeout games). Not recommended for beginners though
