    stupid first world problems you're dealing with

    had my thyroid and some lymph nodes out on 4/30. everything went really well. as well as it could go. all good.  however, i'm a stomach/side sleeper and i keep waking up w/the pillow stuffed under my neck so it's like i'm sleeping directly on my neck/scar and it sucks.  how is it i get really stupid (more stupid) while sleeping? why would i do that? i'm even having dreams about it.

    same. it's possible to join a handful of subs and ignore all the bullshit. same way it's possible to fine tune certain sites to ignore all the nonsense. there's a couple subs i go to that are relevant to health issues, local cycling, PDX "buy nothing" group, idiots in cars etc.

    lols. my pandemic routine was BTB heavy. it was the first podcast i'd listened to that i went back to. then just devoured all of it. so much of it is just so darkly funny thanks to the guests. prior to that i'd only listened to random podcast episodes from different podcasts.. specific interviews etc.. wasn't really into podcasts.. but BTB was right up my alley. so it goes.

    elon was always kinda a douche though. even before his notoriety. the story of how he pushed the founders of tesla out of the picture just sucks.  like a lot of people in that world he has a set of skills and does some things and myths are created about him and the myths overshadow the reality of how much he actually sucks. 

    there's various podcasts about his life and business trajectory that are interesting to listen to and sometimes quite funny.

    they're doing things at the Autechre pace. so, hopefully that means we'll all be able to catch them live again sooner or later. in the meantime hoping we get those soundboards
