God, that article sucks. "Track-by-Track" preview, but it only discusses less than half of the tracks. Also, what's with the claim that the album has been influenced by dubstep. No other preview has mentioned that, and nothing I heard suggests this. And these references to "Digital Mystikz" or whatever as BOC's alleged influences? Implausible. FInally, saying that "Reach for the Dead" was the only "leaked" track betrays a failure of understanding what the word "leaked" means.

"Sick Times"

Returning to more modern influences, "Sick Times" combines the warbled bass of a Burial track with BoC's signature feeling of mellow detachment.

zoviet france are from Newcastle and are heavily influenced by the surroundings of Northumberland and the borders, essentially the same landscape as the Pentland hills just to the north.

 

they also have a place name in their title and in some parts of canada people actually speak french.

‘Semena Mertvykh’, is basically just three minutes of silence. There may have been a subtle hum, or that may have just been the air conditioner. It’s a total wank of a move, but was possibly intended as some kind of concluding meditation.

On first listen, it's their darkest, most dystopian record, sonically cluttered and a million miles away from the sentimental reverie of MHTRTC...

 

... my initial impression is that this will become the serious Boards of Canada fan's favourite album, but anybody who came in at The Campfire Headphase will probably be opting out.
