  1. when he talks about how he prefers to sit quietly studying the minutiae of his surroundings rather than distract himself from it by partaking in all kinds of pre organized activities. I really liked that bit cause it reminded me it's been forever since I've done exactly that. So while Rob's off caning the trails on his MTB, Sean sits a happy little buddha, alright with the world and chilling with the bugs.

by extension: yes, we have this prerogative of the natural / artificial distinction, as if we were not included in the universe, as it manifests itself, but a contingent and external fact. Mostly we do not realize that what we define "artificial" is not the opposite of "natural", but only a specificity of nature, the activity of sentient mammals (no matter whether for good or for bad, which they are, once again , our specific categories)

well, man made versus occurring without the interference of man, something that can exist without our partaking, it has a special feel attached to it. There's lots of similarities though, the base level functioning of machinery mimics the functioning of organic systems, maybe because we consciously or unconsciously build them in our own image, wires/roads resemble veins or rivers, a motor is like a heart etc. but still, who the fuck would want some man made robot dog over the real thing? even in Philip K. Dick's novel the real thing is much sought after rather than ersatz pets.

  3. It's all in the condements. It's what makes an excellent sandwich an orgasmic one. You have the absolute creme de la creme bread cheeses, hams and tomatoes and even so, without a procured chutney, sauce or pickle to tie it all together, it remains a subpar sandwich. I recently discovered an onion chutney that basically had me suspended somewhere in the stratospheres of the God's for the duration.

  4. dreamt me and a friend broke into a large mansion of a beautiful woman but when we finally got a glimpse of her we became afraid and try to leave but end up getting lost in a maze of weird, elaborate rooms.

One specific thing that stuck till after I awoke was a black and white floor (chess board style) appearing from beneath a long sofa and sliding across the massive room until concealed again under another sofa.

I had been watching Kubrick film analysis videos on the evening prior to this dream so yeah, the rooms were like exaggerated versions of those in the Overlook Hotel mixed with the room at the end of 2001.

It's rare for me that something so fresh in memory gets expanded upon in dreams, wish I could do that every night, totally awesome dream with just the right balance of creepy and exciting!

  5. Louis Theroux: Forbidden America episode 2

I didn't think I'd be able to sit through another in this series after the initial episode, but this one was pretty enjoyable with an almost Weird Weekends feel to it featuring a more relaxed Louis, in his element dealing with the underground rap scene in Florida.

  6. that staticky feel to alot of the sounds on elseq, as if some of feed1's density leaked out and left a dry black/grey trace throughout the release.

mesh cinereaL is still king though

today I was driving in a walmart parking lot (I know, I know). I turn off of the main lane to the row of cars to park, and there's a giant SUV sitting in the lane blocking anyone from driving down it. spots are angled so it's a one way only lane. I get that this person is waiting for another vehicle to exit out, so the SUV can then pull into that spot. but there are like a ton of open spots 4-5 parking spots down. then I see 2 more cars starting to reverse out of their spots closer to me, but the SUV is blocking them in. so now I'm sitting here for more than 30 seconds (everyone knows this is an unacceptable delay) waiting on this SUV to get that one spot, when more are now opening up behind it, and I can't go anywhere until this SUV moves, and the one spot they are waiting on has some lady loading a stroller taking forever, so we're all now doomed to wait on this one person so like a bunch more people can move.

this all makes me start thinking about all the inefficiencies a person has to deal with in their daily life, and why can't things all run smoothly, yadda yadda. then I start thinking about communism (noooo!), and the trains coming on time and all that. there's just no way to make the majority of humans more efficient. that ship has sailed.

As soon as you leave the confines of your home, man.

I remember driving to work in the corona days and feeling like a king cruising 'round his grounds. Tumbleweed breezing 'cross lanes of road empty as far as the eye could see, and only sporadically occupied by "us the important chosen ones" the few of which were no hassle at all compared to how traffic normally is.

society doesn't work, too many people we're all cramping one anothers style etc. etc..

Definitely one of my all time favourites, this video takes it up another level (in my humble opinion)

Nice haven't seen this one before. has an interesting weight to it, kind of 'alien race viewing earth for the first time' feel. fresh.

Got stuck on Julie & Candy today whilst walking doge at the beach and it became the jam of the day. heard some swoopy bits towards the end that I've not noticed before, put me in the mind of summer and rollercoasters.

i'm thinking of diving into this breaking bad and better call saul craze, but on the other hand i'm kind of tired of watching psychopaths, i mean, just look at politics these days

i watched some clips on yt, and that Lalo character is really something. or don "frunk" eladio, lol

Lalo aka Hore-Hay de Guzman is a tad too caliente, but whatcha gonna do he be a Salamanca. Don Eladio (Mr. Ice Cream)? I could watch for hours swank around his Hacienda, being all friendly yet intimidating with that Spanish drawl. Un regalo! Sabrosito!
