  1. Das Ewige Leben. more Joseph Hader goodness, so glad I stumbled upon this chap, looks like he's done a bunch of stuff to explore, next up Der Knochenmann!

High Road. easy goin stoner road movie type deal w the nard dog and badger from Breaking Bad. Good for lounging around hungover w shades snackin on pistachios gradually gettin up on t' hair of the dog again.

  2. I look forward to seeing the enraged but helpless look on my boss' face when I waltz in to work whenever the hell it pleases me after the kibosh is put on the whole infernal time thang. Forgetting about time is quite a liberating feeling, sort of floaty and scary but scary in a good way.

  3. Each time you do a groundshaking bellyopera of a belch it's the body proudly boasting its bewildering skills of noise. Same goes for farts of the loud n' proud variety.

  4. June 9th. Remember that Smashing Pumpkins music video for '1979'? It felt like following those kids around for a few days, partaking in shenanigans and whatnot. It's aimless and meandering in a cosy kind of way, so much so that the horror elements, which are mainly at the end, felt almost unnecessary.

Fear Town USA. The good old Troma energy is alive and well here, really fun watch.

th red a continues to be more and more of a standout for me, and I realized part of what makes it feel special is that they so rarely do tracks in 3 or 6 time sigs (the only other one I could think of offhand is the second half of Cipater). It works so well here and it gives the track a weird sort of sea shanty vibe which fits really well with the other aquatic sounding stuff on SIGN (si00, r cazt, etc.. I get lots of oceanic images in my head with this album)

    "sea shanty" aspect is interesting.

  6. I was on facebook for a few years but deleted it entirely in 2010. Only on Quora these days. I like how it focuses more on people's (tall) tales about every subject imaginable rather than pure promotion of individuals, or that's the way it seems to me anyway.

  7. I saw an Irish wolfhound for the first time ever yesterday. It was like a skeleton ghost dog risen out of the forest floor and gliding silently along with its unusually rough salt n' pepper fur, tall & slim build and long legs. An elegant creature he was.

  8. Bought a new kind of yoghurt today. Bifido cultures and whatnot. Posh. The good kind. Strawberry flavored. The stuff had THE most perfect ratio of zingy sour vs. mellow sweet, and it was runny. After the initial bowl (w added muesli) I decided to have another portion, which I poured into a glass and enjoyed as a beverage. Tasty. & quenching! Mmm so good n tasty and extra fun as a drink. Time for more. This time using a larger glass (big gulps ftw). Anyway to make a long story short, I drank it all and my belly looks like it's pregnant. Now stroking my bloated tummy and awaiting an almighty belch. Fuck you, tasty yoghurt.

Not sure if you're taking the piss but if not, no. The brothel was operating out of a house on the street, and the guy entered the mosque with a knife then left the mosque to go back into the house for some reason.

Thought better of it and popped next door for some hot nookie pie instead?

  10. Favorite part is from track 4 onwards on PLUS. Bendy, swooshy beats and slidy tones made of heated, brittle tendrils of glass. All sounds have a satisfying 'brand new out of the box' feeling. X4 is where it's at, razor sharp swagger up the wazoo.

SIGN, I don't know. Initially I was loving those melancholy tracks and M4 and si00 are great but PLUS is just all round a more satisfying fare.

  11. The worst thing by far aboot this pandemic thang has been the no traveling deal. Pullin up anchor and headin out into el mundo somewhere, even for just a long weekend, is a high positivity boost and one that a guy can ride out the rest of the year on. Restrictiones, together with hopes of adventure hols, seem to be a gradually liftin i.e Good Thangs ahead.

i thought it's great. the villain guy is creepy and the way it's acted and shot good. the second one is good too, less so than the first but serious serial killer vs woman old school style vibe in the end which is different from the first one. they both have their thing

    saw Wrong Turn (2021)

it's actually alright. way different from all the earlier wrong turn sequels. takes a more "realistic" route. it has many flaws I guess but overall decent.

Creep 1 & 2 were both above average found footage films n' very enjoyable.

Made it 20 mins into the new Wrong Turn before deciding to revisit the early ones instead (the first two are solid)

This rainy weekend spent chilliin in Andy Sidaris' 1990s Hawaii utopia land with Hard Ticket to Hawaii, Picasso Trigger and Hard Hunted
