  1. The Cadbury's Flake Bar Fail Saga continues. Not only was the drink a disaster (congealed flavorless muck) but now the remnants of the last two bars, which we decided to bring along on a beach picnic, were upon opening, immediately taken by the wind and now lie strewn o'er yonder the salty reaches On a lighter note, Cheeto's Cheddar Jalapeño Crunchies are the bomb.
  2. Imagine the shock and dismay I endured upon inspecting the multipack of Cadbury's Flake bars i bought last Thursday afternoon, when I discover they are uniformly pulverized beyond recognition. Although the joys of a Flake bar in no small way are down to their unique flakeyness, the satisfyingly dry and airy crumble ought never to occur prior to consumption. The handling of the brown gold requires a degree of care similar to that of priceless chinaware. One would be a fool, however, to allow dire situations as this to dampen ones mood, and I intend therefore not to allow my frame of mind to suffer a fate similar to that of the chocs, and have decided to make a delicious mug of coco from their powdery remains
  3. Hotel Coolgardie entertaining fly on the wall docu on the misadventures of two Finnish girls working in a bar in the Australian outback
  4. quite enjoyed first season of the white lotus
  5. ^yeah! when he got his wings i thought it was going to be a tale of how the bat came to be ^^
  6. All I know is that the ones who bask in it, strive for it and succeed in it are ones I would 'much rather kick in the eye' the rest who calmy abide with it, like you put up with the shenanigans of a boisterous child are alright in my book.
  7. been listening to the same two boc playlists comprised of tchp/geogaddi/iabpoitc tracks and a few from mhtrtc for some years now to the point where any other way would sound a little off. Tomorrow's Harvest prefer on its own as an album. I never really get an apocalyptic vibe from any of it, TH though for me nails that wistful feeling you get when summer starts to turn autumny
  8. both are good options and not mutually exclusive. the thing not to combine though, is chicken and cornflakes
  9. Cuck. Well made, acted etc. made me lose a little more faith in humanity.
  10. The Devil's Playground. Nice little docu from 2002, (generously soundtracked with SAW II tracks) on the Amish youth and their coming of age ritual 'rumspringa', in which they are allowed to experience the outside world in order to decide for themselves whether they wish to remain in the church or pursue a life in the modern world. Rumspringa is effectively spring break proportions of partying and debauchery, leading to some of the kids becoming drug addicts/dealers. For one girl though it leads to genuine self discovery and the chance of a life outside the church.
  11. totally. first i thought he might just be doing a devils advocat kinda schtick, it would even make more sense if it was little piece of satire where they're all in on it, something the guy here seems oblivious to.

    Second Peng

the anvil vapre nomads are distant relatives to the one they call nodeszh, there's a playful, impish oppresiveness in the bloodline
  13. Uncle Arnie rules, wear the mask or feel the wrath of the bicep! Got my second pfizer yesterday, no side effects not even the pleasantly sleepy one from the first jab. Seems like they've drafted every OAP nurse in the country for jab duty, place felt like an episode of Golden Girls!
  14. Spree. felt like a Black Mirror episode on social media/streamers and does a pretty good job at capturing the hyperness of that culture which freaked me out to be honest, be prepared for lots of scrolling text all over the screen and handheld camera action
  15. just watched this, it was a really sweet film! The name of Nic's fine looking hog is Brandy and there's more info on her here https://moviepaws.com/2021/07/17/all-about-the-pig-in-the-new-nicolas-cage-movie/ It doesn't mention the type of hog, but it seems like Brandy could be one of these, a Kunekune ^^
  16. for the longest time I always pictured an intense rite of passage by some tribe deep in the jungle last few times it's sounded like viewing a cross section of a weird, complicated machine in full swing, and then zooming in on each moving part depending where you train your gaze so to speak, but then it has that recurring crowd cheering like at a sports stadium or something. A really fun, bonkers track, man!
  17. Imagine actually thinking that the whole thing is some kind of veiled, mass bio attack. Must be scary shit, like a real, living horror film unfolding before your eyes. I remember having a moment while queing for my first vaccine, where the whole thing felt a little ominous. People queing in nervous silence for this new vaccine against a mysterious virus. But what do the ones who are against the vaccines say about all the other vaccines that exist, ones they probably got as kids and have proved to be safe and spared them of things like measles, hooping cough etc? I can understand a degree of concern regarding the whole thing, but what I don't get is the aspect of mistrust that seems to be fuelling it, the idea that there is malicious intent involved.
  18. Fried Barry. Imagine 'Bad Boy Bubby' with drugs n' ufos, infused with Troma style degeneracy. Mad shit. Boys From County Hell. Wholesome, charming fun Irish comedy/horror flick in the vein of Shaun of the Dead.
  19. I remember feeling empathy for the Waco guys, and even moments of being charmed by the Heaven's Gate lot while watching those docus, but this pair of sinister charlatans and their schtick was entirely repulsive on every level. And what's more, the church is still going http://www.alamoministries.com/content/english/
  20. more like a first world mystery. The three cup holders in my car were all about a quarter full of water when i got in it this morning, almost exactly the same amount of water in each cup holder. It had been raining during the night, but all the car windows were shut (i made of point of double checking the previous afternoon, cause the forecast was for heavy rains). I didn't look down before plonking my vaporiser into one of them, and the water caused it to conk out for about thirty minutes. Also, the night before, my hair trimmer suddenly stopped working for no reason (fully charged) but started working the next day. For a minute there I thought I was going to have to buy a new vaporiser and a new trimmer. close shave.
  21. Prior to the whole Harvey Weinstein debacle I'd no idea who the guy was. Now I'm gradually realizing just how many good flims the old codger was involved in. From Tarantino to Eli Roth, Kevin Smith and a handful of up and coming horror talents helped on their way. I can't help but wonder if the current Hollywood scene would've been slightly less stagnant had he still been in the bizzo, workin his movie magic.
  22. I'm looking forward to my second pfizerino in two weeks, and to see whether the extreme sense of relaxation, bordering in the narcotic, I felt on the evening of my first shot was a fluke coincidence or possibly linked to the old pfizzy pfizer. I may require several more doses for this experiment, so bribing the kind old nurse in the wee booth for a few extra portions of the stuff might be necessary
  23. five peas in a pod five pods on a stem five stems on a plant five plants in a bed five beds on a lawn five lawns on a street five streets in a village five villages in a town five towns in a city five cities in a country five countries in a continent five continents in a world
