  1. Even If I love all boc albums and this one isn't my favourite, is another masterpiece. I would outstand music is math, 1969 and over the horizon radar. Marcus and Mike know how to embrace some emotions on this, it's dark and oppressive because of that 11th sept thing, davidians, subliminal messages, etc.

nice job bros! and happy anniversary to geogaddi

respect my decision to further contribute to the global health crisis and consequent government restrictions. totally.

that's it, you only have to obey.

And Im sorry but I don't think I can debate here, it's simply different points of view. I don't understand this fear to talk about some topics respectfully, someone will raise the finger and voilà you're now a lunatic and obviously disqualified or cancelled. last post here.

PD: to @alcofribas I don't need to call dumb to anyone to feel confortable with myself, it was just a polite way to decline a conversation with all of you, can you understand this or not?

It has been estimated that there are over 380 trillion viruses inhabiting us

Some harm us and others help us, just respect everyone's decision and opinion fighting/ignoring this. My main concern is the state of constant terror that we're in, has nothing to do with a virus but 'fear inoculum' to get control. A bit of stoicism is not bad, in this case individuality is the only option 'cause everyone has their own vision.

I can imagine a cake but no one's coming over for tea unless I know how to bake.

or maybe that cake won't be a success among ppl so yo prefer to learn more and improve it. It deppends on how perfectionist you are, we don't know but maybe Rdj has released 10%, 5% of his work?

Any kind of methodology is valid when creating a melody, just follow your gut, feelings, heart or whateva.

you have big misconceptions about music theory, my friend.

don't take it personally, thank you.

and yes music is music, because when we gathered on a campfire like tribal communities ages ago, playing flutes and drums, on that time music theory didn't exist. And yes I've studied and have certain knowledge on the topic, but I prefer to stay away on the petulance of some when thinking about it as an institution to be revered.

music theory is just knowledge of how music works, i don't see how understanding constraints anything. there's no such thing as understanding too much.

maybe didn't explain it properly. I was pointing to a specific methodology that focuses a lot on every aspect of a note as isolated individuals, rather than considering it to the context of the previous or next note. For me a punk riff has the same status as an aria of mozart or a jazz improvisation. Obviusly this can derivate to a different kind of conversation but you know what I mean.

the devil is in the details ?

  8. is about dissonance and assonance between notes, In my opinion too much theory constraints creativity. Everyone has their own method yes, but today you have a lot of resources and tools to create melodies than ever, so apply an arp on any lead synth, then add a bass and looping over it just improvise with a clav, piano, etc. The onthological meaning of melody is even under debate, someone can find interesting a cacophony of sounds. This is most notable on jazz artists

  9. Well even if this is my first response here, I knew that this minicrash that's happening right now on cryptos, was inevitable. I've a lot of friends that are on this but I prefered to wait. This could be provoked by some kind of geopolitical forces maybe, but the fact is that they're devaluating. The behaviour is unpredictable because is a new resource of speculation and investment (raised in 10 years old aprox.)

I will wait a bit until I start purchasing some cryptos. I need to say that I'm a big supporter of NFTs and art hybridizating blockchain, but somehow the scene needs to be more 'realistic' and eco-friendly, on some aspects this way of micro analysis and buying cryptos was converted to a bubble, impacting the enviroment just for mining a little more.

And as I say, as a free digital money is the best solution for the economy, but we need to make it sustanaible.

    What are your thoughts?

  10. Outstanding work Nicholls, data & resources provided. Thank you.

I would say that 'IDM' is just a vague label to define some kind of affinity, specifically in electronic music, call it braindance, experimental music or whatever you want. The point is that is hard to gather all electronic styles and each culture in hip hop, ambient, techno, etc. Applied to the community implies that we're quite different as individuals even if we match racially, by gender, age or education.
