What is the point of making a book about your opinion on people's work? And also sell it!
EDIT: nvm

WAPP480... doesn't that mean an EP is imminent?
according to Discogs the catalog number for the new Hudson Mohawke EP is WAP486 which is just 6 numbers more
idk i feel like it could be!

Whoa whoa… I didn’t say Corc “doesn’t do much for me” - I said I’m surprised they used Corc instead of Dropp
oh apologies!

lol
yeah i scrolled up and it turns out to start next week

So when does this run of shows start again?

might be sacrilegious to say this but tbh I like this more than anything from the Totems Flare era, EP included
i cant really understand what some of the lyrics are trying to say though but that's fine for me

LP5 is actually my least favorite aelbum *hides* but I completely understand why people adore it so much
Just not a fan of the production personally it feels a little too plastic for my taste (says the guy that regularly listens to mainstream pop music lol whatever)
anyways yeah EP7 is brilliant!!!

I’m baffled by some of the tracks on EP7 that weren’t on LP5 - why was Corc on LP5 instead of Dropp?
I agree with the first part but I love Corc so much can I ask why it doesn't do much for you?

sorry if this isnt on topic but oh my god I really wish I was live during the Ultravisitor era because the shows at that time are absolutely fucking incredible
the way he stretches and messes with these tracks we all know and love... the brilliant bass playing... THE SETLISTS THEMSELVES...
i hope someone invents a time machine because the first thing im gonna do is buy a ticket for one of these shows

idk man, i think it's been years since the heckman has done something really good. to me his work has become a lot more sterile over time, just kind of...bland.
an example of this from the newest album is "winter cop." just comes across as really flat, bloodless, generic. something that came to mind while i listened is BOC's "sundown." obviously similar basic deal - some cool cords with big verb. the boc track is so evocative, it draws you in, envelopes you. the chord choices are very cool and provoke unique emotional contours. the synth patch is so well done.
in contrast the hecker just...sits there. it feels superficial, does not go beyond. it feels like soundtrack music, but not in a good way.
i haven't heard the album so i can't comment but wow i just really like the way you worded this it's sticking out to me for some reason

i listened to London 03.06.17 [field day] again pretty recently and i gotta say its pretty underrated!!! hell the warp store version might be up there with Collapse in terms of post-Syro afx for me

i definitely wouldnt mind a more refined version of Shobaleader One tbh i think that D'Demonstrator album was pretty good if rough
