Played and completed cocoon, pretty cool, not too hard, wish it was longer.

I think the GTA trailer only showed that it's fully embracing the Florida is surreal meme. The amount of twerking does stand out but I guess that's how rockstar can be edgy in current date.

In 9 days Outer Wilds is finally coming to the switch several years after its initial announcement. After the really bad mortal combat port I very much hope this will run kind of smoothly but the long time does not really make me feel confident about it
I believe the original studio is doing the port and it's taken them a while so I think it'll be fine. The switch is very capable when well optimized, tears of the kingdom was fine as an example. That game deserves being done right.

Blue eyed samurai totally mind stole from me that scene where they just adjust their poses slightly in reaction to each other

I agree remedy can't do gameplay right, even found control that's more of an action shooter a slog to go through on a second play (I just wanted to replay the Alan wake mission, gave up fairly quickly).
AW2 is the same mechanics as the og so nothing's really changed, enemies are more bullet spongy if anything.

Been playing some easy Super Mario World romhacks, trying to get good.

Finished Alan Wake ake 2, kinda drops the ball in the final act which is ironic given the story.
Overall worth it as an interactive experience with some really cool moments. I was looking forward to the "remedy connected universe" elements connecting their games but I didn't care much for how it was executed, actually think they cheapened some of the cooler stuff in control. DLC coming later so we'll see.
Considering replaying it cus I know I missed some stuff but probably won't be bothered to.

So... Alan Wake 2, Partial impressions 16h in.
I don't particularly like the gameplay (seems like remedy's weak point) it's not exactly challenging but also frustrating sometimes at the same time. But it's okay.
However the overall narrative, set pieces, ambiance, weirdness and everything else is awesome so far.

Started a new playthrough of hollow knight, it's been a while, I never actually beat it, I often get distracted by trying to complete everything and eventually get bored. I'm a bit better gamer than I was before and I'll not lookup any guides. We'll se how it goes.
On the other hand long weekend coming up so I think I'll take the plunge and get Alan wake 2.

Liked the Loki ending, got me actually looking forward to how marvel carries on the Kang arc, but rumors are they're backpedaling on it.

The killer seemed like a waste of Fincher to me. Generic story without a particularly engaging or unique take on the trope.

Started watching The Blacklist with James Spader. Perfect brain pablum for when you don't want to think. Crank suspension of disbelief up to 11 to enjoy properly.
I quite liked this one at the start mostly due to James Spader (been a fan since that lawyer show which's name I can't recall), but it runs out of ideas quite fast. I think I gave it up around the third season. Can't believe it's still going on.

New Rick & Morty season starts with a pretty mediocre first episode. I guess they might lost it when they started hiring external writers to do their job
They've been getting progressively worse since the start, but this one reached 'family guy' levels of low effort.

Twisted metal. low production value & generally cringe comedy but it's kinda ok.

Don't know who this guy is but he seems to understand the situation and have some nuance
I came across that too, I think it's pretty much the only intelligent way to think about it

relative for who though? not for the people living in gaza or the west bank. hasn't been that long either. these relative peace situations are only a matter of weeks or months. we just don't hear about it over here
That's what relative implies, that it's not absolute. It's relative to the world before WWII ended.
clearly the middle east, Africa and eastern Europe haven't seen much stability if any.
What TV series are you watching at moment?
