Watched 'the regime', a lot of it while browsing the phone. It's so bad for an HBO production that I'm pretty sure it's 3 letter agency sponsored media.

Aside from Helldivers which is a lot of fun when it doesn't crash, I've been playing a lil bit of Stephens Sausage Roll the game is praised all over the place because of its puzzle design but it just makes me feel dumb, just barely solving some of it each time.

Felt the same way, I abandoned the game very early on, after the (awesome) intro you're immediately presented with endless checklists of stuff to do with no clear purpose. I have enough backlog to clear irl damnit i dont want a second job. I left it to pick it up later but haven't since.

Game is indeed a lot more fun on the harder difficulties, thing gets really crazy sometimes. Even if it is kinda samey.

So, caved in and got Helldivers 2 so far its kinda meh, certainly well made, looks and plays good but i don't see much to it. maybe it gets more fun once you level up and git gud

Anyone playing helldivers 2? I see a lot written about it so im tempted but when i see gameplay i just see a third person shooter. Also, balatro, is it worth getting hooked to it?

I saw the new Mr. and Mrs. Smith show. Interesting take but could've been a movie.

So I just finished the whole main series and yes, the setting is believable, the characters are charming the story is engaging but boy is the latter half of the story a drag, did not enjoy as much. Feels like the authors wanted to up put on big boy writer pants and made everything bleak. It'd be better off if it continued being a fun light space adventure. I wanted to dig in more into the short stories but im burned out for now.

Still working through the witness. Didn't give up or look stuff up this time. Thought I was nearly done, turns out there's more. Haven't found enlightenment yet. Also this game just came out that i was keeping an eye on, might check it out:

If you are into this you may want to look into FPGA stuff, they basically accurately reproduce the original hardware with magical (to me) programmable CPUs. There's Analogue who have done Nintendo stuff, and the even cooler open source MISTer project than can do multiple consoles at the same time and even old systems like the commodore 64 and stuff.

So YouTube put me in a Jonathan Blow rabbit hole so I'm giving The Witness another shot, maybe I'll reach enlightenment. Also looking forward to the braid anniversary edition.

Been reading the expanse series books, currently in the fifth which i believe is where the show left off. They're kinda mid but want to know where it goes.

So I've been slowly, carefully replaying Alan Wake 2, with the new new game + (the final draft) mode, it was a perfect excuse go over again and 100% it. Turns out the ng+ mode is glitched and it is impossible to get everything in some scenarios, so ill probably quit until i hear of a patch thay fixes this. Not gonna go over a third time. Word of warning if this was your plan too, if you wanna 100% dont use a final draft playthrough.

I used to get a lot of music from pitchforks reviews and lists, a lot of very good music, later on they sold out imo and could never trust them again. It was an era for me tho, sad to see them go even if I've haven't visited in a decade.

I was playing this then got lost, took a break and didn't come back to it. Id have to start over now. Its cool. Theres DLC? I liked the "vibe" and the puzzle mechanics, although it wasn't too hard - I found that i could brute force most of the ones i got stuck, some I even solved without knowing exactly why it worked.

Played and beat Inscryption. It's... an experience. I think the first act was my favorite, kinda dragged on by the end but pretty cool overall. New game+ update supposedly live on Alan wake 2. That's probably next
