  1. he's got max on there too so he is probably able to switch audio routing presets at the touch of a button

so you have a 'you're playing gabber' preset and a 'fancy acid' preset etc and then route tracks to them and back into the mixer

i am sure it's pretty bespoke and hard to use without the knowledge of the creator + 1000 hours practice

  2. doesn't he remic stuff in his rooms, so the piano's in the room with a weird mic, maybe the mic's down a toilet or in a bath full of water or something (i used a aqua mic at sound uni with similar sludge sound] and then the audio of that is played outside with the speakers up a tree at 4am with the birds or owt

then you mic the outside area up.

basically if you have the time and money to do such things you would

  3. AFX put on a great show, a good few remixes of older works (i think) but i was near the sound engineers  half way out, sheltering from the rain and there was a cross wind which in my opinion had a large impact on the sound. Never mind the twitter reports, it was a typical afx set, large majority of the crowd were not an afx crowd, picture a  fake tan clan and a good few dudes  walking around with their tops off showing their gym machined muscles even though it was cloudy and raining at times. I regretted going in early circa 5:30 - caught some of kink - fairly bopping, happy guy focusing on a bopping sound,  moderat were ok (not into them myself), if i had of known i would happily stayed at home longer or went for a few drinks. Personally i am done with festivals unless they are  low key alternative like the one in Cork (open ear) this weekend which i skipped due to Kraftwerk and Afx playing in Dublin - i won't attend any large festival, regardless of who is playing. I cringe at the thoughts of most of the crowd yesterday. Anyway, AFX show is cool, clearly his accepting these gigs for the big cheques and if his music/show appeals to a few more souls, that's a bonus.

i would say field day and primavera are the last time i'll be doing one of these large scale twat fests

  4. post primavera i cynically and perhaps wickedly looked at all the people with afx bags and thought lol they just be buying t shirts an shizzle. and even more cynically couldn't get properly into the barn. which is annoying as his primavera set was way less ravey. i think i like the open air sets more just for the spectrum types but i wish there had been a few less thousand people crammed in. anyway fat rave tho.

  5. thing with cyberdog is when i went there in amsterdam back in the 'day' i didn't know that the cyberdog jacket i bought there was a camden brand, and that the next Matrix II style hard NRG trance party i went to on acid about 500 people had the same item of clothing and i died inside.

    so lucky escapes all round
