Shout out to my man Blackcurrant over on Whosampled for flagging this one up for me.
-
Boy, that's some early sampling from Jacobs. Peculiar.
Excellent find, thank you.
-
can't work this one out: that's definitely the beginning of the Psycho Tape mix/session that crops up, but i'm not sure how it was isolated in that.
-
i got a 33
given i've been professionally diagnosed with moderate autism this seems right
half the people on the internet are, it's nothing special
i could probably push it higher if I were less conservative with my answers but
-
The male vocals in Deep Down are mostly sliced from Bobby Byrd's Hot Pants at about 1:35 (one of Luke's better vocal flips, on listening to it).
-
i've got a distinct feeling the opening of Rendleshack is from a moog cover of Love's Theme by Love Unlimited but I'm unable to find one so
-
Brian Emo
(probably done before but fuck'd if I'm going to check)

Carole Kling-Klang Studios
KrafTwerk
Brave Dumbek
J. K. Rolling

okay, help me out here: which track is the opening guitar scratch from this used in? I believe it's a Plug track but can't mentally place it.
-
i don't believe it I always thought that was BJ Cole talking

Faintly free jazz-funk from L Ron. (producing) and the Sea Org. Apparently he fined them a dollar for every wrong note they played. It's one of my favourite record covers too.

0:55 - Hi there, we've got a hot one for you.
-
i live in perpetual hope of finding that "messages of soul with a solid beat" sample; that's my personal vibert grail
I don't have that today, instead I have a vocal sample from kwikwidetrax which he probably got in a sample pack anyway
good song though
-
yes, it was indeed from Planet of the Apes. don't have a clip; anybody got one?
a small man on youtube informed me of this one:
-
shouts out to my main man Blackcurrant, who is the main source of Luke Vibert samples over on Whosampled, and who has kindly dug up those Sonovox tracks for all of us to hear.
http://www.whosampled.com/Luke-Vibert/Marvellous-Music-Machine/samples/
he also caught that Eleventy One samples from the same album,
http://www.whosampled.com/sample/276811/Luke-Vibert-Eleventy-One-Ray-Anderson-Solid-Gold/
there's still a couple missing but I'm going to go on Soulseek and see if I can put up the remainders.
-
i can't find any audio readily, but given the track titles in http://www.discogs.com/East-Anglian-Productions-100-Sonovox-Jingles/release/3977743 it's undoubtedly the source of the sonovox vocals in Marvellous Music Machine
-
is that money real money
-
it's too long and drifty
but I like jacquard causeway still because that's excellent drum machine work

today's harvest

in 7:44 (plug, visible crater funk ep), from 4:59-5:45 you can hear what sounds like someone whispering "heh heh heh heh"
it reappears in aphex's "taking control" from 4:04-4:40
so who is it? vibert? aphex? someone else?
lol nice find. I imagine they share samples so could be either
found iiiiiiiit
