To contribute something weird, this as the precursor sounds really amazing on bad soundsystems.

This is lush.

I believe the 70s-80s Engines are powered by a ton of Double AA batteries, but maybe the new ones are LiOn? Joyrex do you know? You guys are seriously making me consider buying a set for next Xmas. And if you needed any more convincing:
If they made a Moon train or Star Wars train, the argument in my mind would be over, lol
They made a space monorail back in the 80s:

I wanted that thing so bad when I was a kid.
wow i had this when i was a kid and built a lot of weird stuff with it. funny switch to childhood looking through the pictures...

I saw him DJ once it was amazing. I saw him perform "live" or whatever twice and it was not very good to be honest. But that's some time ago so or maybe he wasn't in a good mood these nights. Anyway he didn't lift his hoodie as well and was very distant from the crowd. You need to fit your image, right?

Parallel World (9.22) is incredible... one of my favourite tracks of all times since it came out... the box set looks so amazing.

im really self hating lately on the composing. i get so down. seriously depressed. hoping i dont suck. i just need a few melodies or something i love. cant give it up.
I know that I can't just tell you to feel a certain way about your tracks, that just isn't how it works. The truth is, though, with such a depressed and bad outlook on your work, then you won't make a good track. If you hate your work and you are thinking about how shit the track is while you make it, it will be shit. Coming in with a blank mind and just going with the flow will produce your best tracks.
Great advice - being able to appreciate your output is sooo important in the first place.
Any other methods?
Different states of mind

I have been listening to Syro daily since release. Usually multiple times straight through. It keeps getting better and better each time. It makes me want to stop whatever i'm doing and just LISTEN. Not enough music compels me this way.
I feel like it's a totally different experience based on however i end up listening, be it vinyl on headphones vs speakers, or various qualities of digital on headphone or speakers. Every configuration is unique. This album fascinates me as both an obsessive fan of music and compulsive maker of music.
QFT
yeah i came here to write something like this
this lp sounds so amazing blasted out loud on a soundsystem i think.

New Clark album announced - supports that Mu post way back which said 2 AFX albums and new Clark at the time.

I somehow can't imagine that Aphex will release some old worn out tracks for a new album. I mean, he has declined several times to actually release or re-release his old stuff simply because he might be bored too easily by it.
yeah that's a point for me as well. i don't mind hearing stuff in high quality I already know but I want to understand why Aphex suddenly changed his opinion. i mean, why hasn't he done this 4 years ago? Maybe the kickstarter thing really did something (how amazing it must feel as the artist supported, just imagine)... well maybe future interviews will reveal.
anyway - so weird to be alive for an other aphex twin release
-
amazing material. i was bit afraid after the ep before was a bit mediocre, but this is a gorgeous and refreshing listen
-
looks like the stencils were legit after all
Please tell me this means someone is a fan of taxidermy gone bad
haha my first thought exactly...
the tracklist worries me. if afx after all these years of refusing to just throw together some gorgeous tracks from his archive would now decide to do that thing, the tracklist would look like this, so...
on the other hand, i don't care and i even don't believe it yet. if anything comes it'll be a damn good day.
some guy on another message board said there will be two afx lps and one clark lp coming in september. actually, when i look at the tight release schedule of warp (rustie, hudson, fly-lo) i wonder how ONE afx lp would fit in there. if they release the afx in september before fly-lo in october, everyone would forget about the fly-lo, and i'm not sure if warp marketing directors would take that risk. anyway, just speculating again.

no way

i guess it is something like this.
by the way, did you guys catch all the actress stuff on dazed? http://www.dazeddigital.com/music/article/18667/1/the-codes-of-ghettoville
new actress single out on ninja tune - good ghetto ville now is not officially his last LP
-
yip i also heard it... it's like actress performing "live"... pretty rough, amateurish breaks, a lot of known material. the beginning reminded me of some ambient acid computer game, quite enjoyable.
-
i really liked trap stuff when it became popular. the weird and bouncy rhythm and the breaks and weird signatures... but well, it developed in a way that i can't even listen to good stuff without having ressentiments. like with the dubstep wobble bass...
the prichard tune is amazing
by the way my profile picture is from the flosstradadmus site

i'm getting really jealous
-
i actually like this better than RIP
/shocker
i feel the same way.
rip was way to obviously "psychedelic" or "deep"....
-
this is so ridiculous that i didnt believe it when i stumbled upon it on facebook...

Welcome in 2014 when un-satisfaction is becoming the new satisfaction.
guys, i swear i didnt read the interview before... actress says " I think it's that quality - or un-quality - which is fundamentally what I was trying to get out of Ghettoville, and what the essence of the expression was as well."
haha
"[The way you get ahead these days is learning how to express dissatisfaction in interesting ways]"
you say this or someone else? i like this. it's not even negative.

Berlin show at lovely Funkhaus was an intense meditative experience.
Edit: Sorry thought we talked about the musician GAS / Wolfang Voigt actually.
